Smells like fluff cuz hes been terrible

Terrible?

Idk what you're expecting. See him get beat for a sack here and there and he's terrible? Kid is going up against Watt, Von Miller, Mercilus, Cameron Jordan, etc. from week to week and you expect him to win every rep as as a rookie or?

All downhill from there

Jawaaan has had his issues, but like...he was literally seen as a project that had loads of raw talent. Idk how you could have expected some finished product or someone that wouldn't have plenty of lumps along the way.

He's had too many flashes of brilliance and the raw talent is clearly there. I think he's going to be special.

Haven't heard much hate besides this forum for him. It's weird. He's a rookie RT going against elite level DL and you think he's not going to get holds or give up a sack to all pro DL here and there.

for  a guy who the media touted up as a top 10 player Mocked a lot to us at 7 hes been a bit underwhelming.

6 sacks and 8 penalties isnt good.

then you have the fact we Suck running the ball to the right which im not gonna blame all on taylor but its also not all our guards fault either.

we rank 29th running at right tackle and 32nd at right end.

Yet he didn't get taken by anyone until us in round 2. Who cares where he was touted? Not to mention he is younger than most in the class and tons of room to grow/develop.

He's 21 and a rookie OT. He's going to have growing pains. He's had tons of flash/eye popping plays too next to a makeshift RG spot being player by two different players.

He was supposed to be pretty good run blocker coming out and based on the stats our rightside has been below average at run-blocking.

Its not all the right guards fault and it's not all Taylor's fault. Hes been average at best and you guys are acting like hes been a stud.   Age doesnt matter. Yes he has potential to be good but you know who else was young when we picked him and he had potential Luke Joeckel.  Im not saying hes gonna be luke joeckel bad but hes not been above potentially being replaced outside.

Who said he's been a stud? I literally said he shows flashes and the upside is clearly there. What article has stated he's playing like a stud?

He's a young first year OT. He's taking plenty of lumps but long term he looks like with continued development he could be a long term fixture.

Bortles showed flashes and look at where it drove us 1 bortles extended and then cut 1 year after then we sign foles.

I also believe we haven't developed a good home grown OL outside linder. Furthermore if u look at our draft history outside of Maurice Williams and Tony Boselli we havent developed a starting quality OT from round 2 and i wanna see Meester was the only non-bust IOL picked round 1/2

We have a new OL coach, so what does it matter a out what happened? Or what happened 20 years ago with OL development?

Comparing a QB who said himself "wasn't a natural thrower of the football" and considering he was the epitome of a guy with physical gifts that was a piece of work.

Jawaan literally was viewed by so many as an elite OT level talent, just on the right side which takes a hit on value and because there was health questions. Yet people still mocked him top 10.

You expect guys to just develop immediately and be a stud out of the gates.

You literally argued with me that because Chark didn't play much/wasn't great when he did get reps last year that he was never going to amount to anything.

Not that this is the same because Taylor has def shown bigger flashes as a rookie and clearly the game isn't too big for him. Leon Searcy talks about him all the time. The raw talent is there and it's just going to take reps/continued development.
