broncos_fan _from _uk
Want to make this running game better? It’s not by diluting touches from the really good RBs already on the roster, it’s by giving them a good OL to run behind. by all means we should take BPA and if in round 3 a great RB falls into our lap then sure. But it’s a luxury, and you don’t buy a Rolex when you’re living in your car.

His break tackle ability can use refinement, he can learn convert speed to power but mannn he has gifts and instincts running you cant coach. He runs in a phone booth, and has homerun ability. Two completely different runners

Can they trade down get Wirfs or another great tackle prospect for Munchak to groom. Go center in round 2 or 3 and with the second second rounder get a great Clinton Portis, Frank Gore, Terrell Davis like scheme fit to help a Quarterback develop on his rookie deal. With the picks as is the answer is obvious but picks change. If Thomas or Young isn't available at our pick this is the move imo.

TE is more patient as a runner but still fits this offense beautifully. If he gets into this system and our strength and conditioning program watch out. Scoundrel
If you can get Thomas or Wirfs round 1 and Creed Humphrey round 2 you’ve stabilized from C to the T of the left side of our line. Wilkinson McGovern maybe a FA or later pick can compete at RG and hopefully James can stay healthy I doubt it though. Use your third round picks on other areas of need but focusing on BPA. BPA at an area of need. CB, ILB, WR, TE and so on. Alex Leatherwood from Bama is a trade down option for us that can play multiple Oline spots. Josh Jones is a riser at LT for Houston. Calvin Throckmorton is another solid prospect. If we trade down there will be some quality tackles available. If the top guys declare this is a deep group.

You’re likely going to have to use a first on a player like Etienne. There are other backs later on that can have success here and two on the roster already if the oline was better.
thebestever6
We have a top two oline coach in this league and if Thomas doesn't fall no one is comfortable trading down to the teens and have him make his best educated guess on a tackle to mold? Actually you know coach?

Fair point but with a trade down second or third round with an extra pick If the right fit falls I'm strongly considering it. Young QBs struggle with intermediate routes imo Locks deep ball is fine, short game will be fine but if we can get a rb that can be a problem and matchup nightmare you go for it round 2 or

If Thomas doesn't land to our spot and Wirfs is there and he has a 1c guy graded right behind him do you not trust a trade down to aquire an extra second + to use on a bad a runningback round two? Do you trust Munchaks coaching ability? I do as well as identifying talent look at the Left Tackle from Pittsburgh.
