I heard something interesting on 92.3 The Fan this morning on the way into work. I am not a sound believer in this, but i will float it out there.

Ken Carman brought up the theory that the Browns may have been intentionally holding the offense back in the first two games. His reasoning? Game 3's coaching staff is one of the brightest and most experienced in the league, HC Sean McVay and DC Wade Phillips. He was wondering f the Browns were going to make wholesale concept changes on offense - not because of what happened in Week 1 and 2, but because this was the plan all along. He wonders if they didn't want to give the Rams coaches a chance to analyze it and form a plan to combat it.

Specifically, he mentioned the Browns going to an almost exclusive no huddle, hurry up offense.

I am throwing the BS flag on this. When it comes to making the playoffs - a win in week 1 is just as valuable as a win in week 17. To engage in an action that deliberately limits your opportunity to win is ludicrous, and grounds for immediate dismissal if it could be proven. Let me repeat, I don't believe this theory at all.

And if you are "afraid" of the intelligence of the opposing coaching staff - here's a thought.....

Get smarter yourselves.

I don’t know about holding a game plan back, but I do expect some formations being different.

That’s the stupidest most unrealistic thing I’ve ever read.

Not even in the Top 5 in this forum/the Browns organization since 2015...not even close.

*Jimmy drafted Johnny due to advice from a homeless man

*The Browns organization searched/live streamed unfiltered twitter results with the letters dp in it

*Hue Jackson tried to intentionally sabotage the Browns as a lame duck coach by trading a 2 and 3 for A.J. McCarron, the team that he went immediately to after being fired in Cincinnati (Thanks again Sashi!!!)

*Mike Pettine intentionally refused to play/develop rookies and 2nd year players as a HC because of a conflict with Ray Farmer and our entire front office

*Insert at least 3 other Hue Jackson stories here

Is it true that in the Goff/Wentz draft the reason why the Browns traded back from 2nd overall is because they wanted Goff and when the Rams went to 1st overall and it looked as though they were going to take Goff, the Browns bailed because they had no interest in Wentz? Like thats what kept hearing as the reason why the Browns traded from the 2nd overall pick. People was baffled as to why the didnt take Wentz at 2.

Anyways, Im a big believer in the Browns this season. I picked them to win the AFCN and think that it would be amazing if the AFCCG would be Mahomes v Baker. I said that if the Browns dont have success this season its going to be because of the head coach and the quarterback. Both guys are still young with not much if any experience in the NFL at the position they are in.

With that being said, as a Rams fan Im nervous about this game because of it being on SNF. The last three times the Rams played on SNF not only did they lose each game but they struggled badly. Now one of those games wasnt with the current regime so Im not going to truly focus on that one. The Rams played back to back SNF games last season and looked bad in both games resulting losses. Maybe the third time is the charm and they come out and win on Sunday but Im nervous when it comes to the Rams playing on SNF. I do think its going to be a good game. The Browns have to play better than they have the first two games and I think the Rams need to get off to a faster start on offense than they have the first two games.

Yes, all of that is supposedly true.  Sashi even went on record to say that they didn't think Wentz would become a top 20 QB in the league.

It was actually DePo, not Sashi.

Agreed.  Though I think it was DePodesta with the sound bite.

That being said I agreed with them.  Loved Goff out of college.  Deep ball accuracy and awareness.

Wasn't a big fan of Wentz.  I thought against the best competition he played very poor, he beat up on D3 teams.

That being said CERTAINLY happy with how things turned out.  I love our team, we just need to get our bleep together on offense.
