GDT Week 3; Browns VS Rams

Well we will we eventually get Higgins, Callaway, Hunt and Njoku back on offense.

 

We've been gradually getting better. Problem is we started really bad.  Win against the Ravens would erase this.

When you outrush an opponent and majorly win the turnover battle, you should win a football game. I'm proud of the defense and the backups played great, but that's unacceptable for an end result.

So this is what I was curious about last night and why I didn’t say anything then.  One angle and done freeze frame doesn’t tell the whole story.

Baker isn’t scoring if he tucks it there.

Anyone think McCray should take over at RT over Hubbard? He hasn't been great by any means, but I think he's been better than Hubbard.

Still probs should step up though. If he stepped up he is 5 yards closer to his pass targets, of he runs it for 5 we are close too

Anothe thing you can’t see in these pictures but watching the play is that Baker had Dante Fowler and Aaron Donald crashing in on him, At that point baker is probably thinking give the team a chance and find someone to throw to, probably thinking I can’t take a sack. I don’t believe baker had the ability to run it

I really don't have many complaints about this game. The 4th and 9 run yes, the deep routes backed up in our red zone were meh. No fades to obj or landry in redzone. Still a handful of stupid penalties.

Baker was playing it safe both in throws and making sure not to take any big hits. Rams had great coverage and were getting there quick with four. The times baker could stay in the pocket he delivered. When they blitzed he made them pay.

Can't be too upset. Coming out of this game healthy was important.

 An nfc game, early in the season, got rattled in gm 1, HUGE game against balt next week. Rams are stacked and our chances of winning were very slim.

All of that being the case, we were still in it at the end. 

Everyone talking about 4th down, but baker couldve had an easy td to juice on 3rd and goal. 

Ravens are undoubtedly one of the top teams. Their offense is better than the Rams. Imho though we know our defense can make some plays. We'll need ward or greedy for brown though. 

That being said I like Bakers odds more this game. To get inside pressure ravens blitz. We can handle blitzes with racs and screens. Judon has been impressive but Donald was the worst matchup possible.

We'll see. So far the Browns have stepped up to the challenges. Just have to continue fighting, adjusting and the wins should come.
