There are some mouth breathers here who still think Davis sucked at returning punts. And for what it's worth, Trevor Davis in 3 games for the Raiders has 6 receptions for 68 yards. In 33 games for the Packers, Davis had 9 receptions for 122 yards. Davis also has 74 yards rushing for the Raiders. And on 5 returns, Trevor Davis is averaging 12.8 yards per punt return. If you counted only his punt returns as a Raider, that would lead the league in punt return average. But WTF do I know? Yeah? But we got a 5th round pick that will turn into a HOF player for us!!! incognito_man
We would be a better today with Davis for sure. I think Gute probably wishes he hadn't don't that deal today.

firstdown
You know a lot Outpost. Davis is ranked as the #2 returner in the league so far, he very well may be going to the Pro Bowl. As a receiver this year, 7 total targets and 7 receptions. He's the only receiver in the league with a 100% reception rate with 7 or more targets. And he's averaging 8 yards after the catch per target, a top ten in the league number. By comparison- VS 3.0 yards, Kumerow 2.0, Allison 1.7, Lazard .9. Drop rates- Davis 0%, VS 5.3%, Lazard 11%, Kumerow 12.5%, Allison 13.3%. He's made the weekly top twenty fastest ballcarriers list twice so far this year, in 3 games with the Raiders. Valdex-Scantling has made that list only once so far this year, Aaron Jones twice, Vitale once (Vitale??!!) and Devante has made it once also. He's started all 3 games with the Raiders at receiver. He was featured in the first quarter against us with targets and fake runs, which I think was designed to open things up afterwards for their tight ends. Not bad for a hated jag scrub that we ran out of town. All that hate has now been directed towards Shepherd. Very underserved. Shepherd is in a very tough spot, punt returner is the hardest job in football. He'll never be anywhere near as good as Davis, as he doesn't have the physical ability, but he can be serviceable in time. Shepherd is our guy now, he should be supported instead of derided. Joe
Wow, Trevor Davis is going to be a HOF'er and Gute pulled a Jerry Glanville trading him away...man what an idiot... ...seriously, we're still debating this?

There's a gigantic difference between "He's going to be a HOF" and "It wasn't worth the 6th round pick" So no, we aren't debating that. pacman5252
Sadly after this year, there is a chance we would have gotten a higher comp pick for him if we used him like Oak has. He's essentially Taylor Gabriel (who got 4 years 26M 2 years ago).

You're trying to hard on a guy with 68 receiving yards. And I say that as one of the biggest Davis supporters.
ReadyToThump
I didn't want us to get rid of Davis considering I don't think Shepherd is even an NFL caliber talent.
PACKRULE
Has either player won or lost a game for their team this year. Thought so.
