The guy has exceeded expectations in his first year as a starter in an entirely new system. He's already a sure-fire first rounder. He and Lawrence head the class. Ozzy
If he can make a similar jump as he did this year as a FR to a SOPH when he is a SOPH to a JR he will be a top 5 pick in the draft no doubt. He has far more arm talent and upside than the likes of Jalen Hurts does. Fields has made amazing progress this year compared to last, but will see if that progress continues next season. Hard to find a QB not named Trevor Lawrence who is more talented in the 2021 draft than Fields. Sam Ehlinger, Jamie Newman, Kellen Mond, Shane Buechele and maybe McKenzie Milton if he can get back healthy will be some names to throw around, especially Newman and Ehlinger if they return to school. But none are more talented than Fields is.
NateDawg
Lawrence is a far more polished guy but Fields is a no doubt 1st rounder next year. I’d imagine that he makes a Deshaun Watson type of jump next year. Big year, just in year 2, and in an entirely new team/system. He may take a couple years but the last few seasons has shown that NFL GMs aren’t scared off by that type of QB. He has all the talent.
