Doyle was so low that Joyner hit him in the head almost at the same time. Difference between Barnett, Jones, and Burfict is that Burfict is the initial tackler. Barnett and Jones came in to clean up a defenseless player that were pretty much stopped already. Burfict deserves a fine and 2 game suspension but the Barnett hit was close to career ending and possibly life threatening. Even with history the Barnett hit should be treated with a much harsher penalty. I would put the Barnett hit as worse then any single thing Burfict has done. Most teams had a few players that hit somewhat like this often. QB's actually were probably the most targeted, but also WR's going over the middle meeting up with the FS, always ended in some serious contact.
