Dome
3 hours ago, Howler said: He needs to get back with McVay. His confidence is shot and now it's a complete pile-on. While reading Bill Walsh's book, "The Score Takes Care of Itself", a line about belief hit home with Cousins. "Bill says in the book that four of the most powerful words you can say as a coach to a player is, 'I believe in you,'" Cousins said. "And Sean said that to me over and over and over again even when there weren't many other people who did, so that certainly means a lot, especially when you look back and see where we came from there." Maybe he’s not actually breaking the defense down for Goff. Maybe he’s just saying nice things to him.

Not sure what the staff has to do with that. They have done good the last few weeks though He is playing with a lot of confidence now and the line is playing a lot better. Art_Vandalay
He's doing what he's been doing his entire career. Smoking bad defenses in the early Sunday games. He as a primetime game coming up right on queue.

He as a primetime game coming up right on queue. again...you are looking at the wrong factors for why Cousins struggles at times(at least so far at Minnesota)...it's not the primetime games...I mean last year he had 2 really good games in primetime against Packers, Rams but before that match vs Rams, he struggled against Bills & also vs Cardinals in afternoon games....Cousins problems (like most of the QBs in league) arise when the OL gets dominated. He isn't someone who is excellent at extending plays..Vikings OL last year was really poor in pass blocking..so it made the situation even worse. Also, due to some reason, they weren't even using Play Action much last year despite the fact that PA is Cousins best play. Since the Bears game this year, it looks like Stefanski (Vikings OC) is in full incharge of Play Calling. Play Calling has been very aggressive and they have also been using Play Action really well.
