Slateman
Was Pederson bad at first base? His splits against RHP would be more than suitable for a cheap first base platoon option.

Dodgers if they wanted to try him there should have done it in spring not midseason.
tom cody
I wonder what happens with Pederson now, do the Dodgers keep him or do they move him to another team?

Before the trade can be filed we have to do something. These moves put us at 42 guys on the 40 man roster. Another trade(s) will be done today or tomorrow.

But I doubt the Dolans are willing to shill out even for a small money add like that.

We even thought Verdugo could headline a trade for a starter but that idea wasn’t well received.

We're all pissed at our ownership punting on a contention window to save a little money and crying poor into their money fists. Verdugo would've made a lot of sense as a part of a package for Clevinger etc. It's just that we wish we had gone all in with the rotation we had instead of having to pick and choose where to be good.

The Angels could have used Stripling and Pederson would have been a nice addition in RF until Adell is ready. And, frankly, it didn't cost them very much. It's almost like they got little brother syndrome.
ramssuperbowl99
PECOTA's out. One of the better record projection systems: https://www.baseballprospectus.com/standings/ Dear god the Dodgers are projected for 103 wins and to win the NL (the whole league, not just the NL West) by 15 games. That's not fair. The Red Sox are at 85 wins and the AL wild cards are projected to win 87 games. Sure hope they haven't traded anybody good recently because that would really impact their playoff odds. The Reds are picked to win the NL Central, which is back to its traditional mess of suckiness after a brief series of good Cubs teams. lol
MWil23
It has the Tribe at 86-76, which is just enough for Dolan to rationalize a "salary dump" since they are "no longer contenders" and "missed their window" (RIP 2016-2017...2018 was a farce). I'll make sure to "enjoy him" (Lindor) until the middle of June/early July. At least 2025 is going to be AWESOME.

When the White Sox jump ahead of the Tribe in June/early July and they fall to 3rd in the division, the Indians will go into SELL MODE. tom cody
Has the Mets winning the AL East as well, that's quite interesting.
animaltested
Mariners projected as 2nd worst team in the MLB. Absolutely fine with this. Another chance to add talent to a budding farm.
