mcmurtry86
Good news, they need him to stay healthy. Roberts and Van Noy are pretty shaky when alongside Hightower. Without him, those guys look absolutely terrible

Hunter2_1
Probably our second most valuable player? What do you reckon?

Certainly the 2nd hardest to replace given the current roster. He's a huge step up from anyone else on the roster.
dhunt2402
That is really, really great news. That did not look good on the field
Hunter2_1
Not sure how I feel about him on the edge. He's our best run defender as well, and we may have missed him stuffing it up the middle (I'm not rewatching....). On the edge, he's easily taken out of contention if the offense wishes. mcmurtry86
They need him on the edge given their lack of rushers. But Van Noy is awful inside. Against many teams, Harris inside should be fine. Fast teams that can also run inside present a problem
TomRalph
Good God, this is the best news I've heard all day (it's been a low news day) If we came out of the game with a devastating injury to our defensive lynchpin I'd have been distraught. Was touted as a possible for the Saints' game, so I'd be disappointed if he didn't feature in the Texans game
Deadpulse
Latest update: He went to go see Dr. Andrews and the second opinion was good apparently. I'd like them to let him sit against Houston, use a safety to spy on Watson, play man on the WR and crowd the box.
everlong
After Houston we have Carolina and @TB in that timeframe. Hopefully we'll have him back for the TB game. We shouldn't have much problem against a raw rookie and a rusty Cam.
Hunter2_1
Carolina look awful. As for Houston, they seem charged up when they play us (fair enough), and I expect a tough fought battle there. Agree with Pulse. Crowd box, try and make Watson beat us through the air. As mentioned in another thread, however, we played rookie/inexperienced QBs in different ways last year. Landry Jones, for example, we gave him the entire underneath and only rushed 3 or 4 most of the time.

It also rarely seems like Belichick ever ignores the pass to load the box of late. I think it's more likely he takes out Hopkins and makes Watson go to his secondary options and win. I think Belichick subscribes to the idea playing consistently against the run, even in a light box, eventually you're going to have a chance at stopping a run + getting an incomplete = 3rd and long. Realizing that you said this last week, I thought he Van Noy looked much better against the Saints. Not sure if they changed his responsibilities or what, but I only remember positive plays as opposed to vs the Chiefs every big gain was against him it seemed like. Van Noy was largely outside with Roberts inside
