Rams LB Clay Matthews breaks jaw; out at least a month

Per McVay, it was broken when he was kicked in the jaw by Chris Carson on a tackle near the end of the game.  Grain of salt and all, and I doubt it was intentional by Carson (at least I hope it wasn't).

Did he really phrase it like that? Probably just making a joke.

It definitely wasn’t intentional, so rest easy.

Carson was running and Clay dove for his legs but missed, just a bit behind Carson, then he caught a heel to the chin as Carson lifted his foot off the turf to take another step.

It was the 3rd down play before the Seahawks go-ahead score. Clay misses the tackle and immediately comes up grabbing his chin. Then straight to the locker room after a quick chat on the sidelines.

Never has a broken jaw but it sounds excruciating.

I've never gone more than a day or two without masticating. Can't even imagine a month not being able to get that satisfaction.

Broken jaws are annoying - can't eat for a while and it can re break easily if not careful. Damn, clay.

Its an odd decision by Fox Sports to feature Clay on Mic'ed Up this week.

I remember when Jason Witten broke his jaw and missed a whole game once.
