X_Factor_40
Detroit Lions list 6 new starters on first depth chart of regular season Quote Jarrad Davis, a first-round pick out of Florida, leads the way at middle linebacker. Free-agent pickup Paul Worrilow will flank on him on the strong side, while Cornelius Washington takes over for the injured Kerry Hyder at defensive end. Quote On offense, prized free agents Rick Wagner (right tackle) and T.J. Lang (right guard) lead the way for a reworked offensive line. Another newcomer, Greg Robinson, won the left tackle job in the wake of the Taylor Decker injury. Quote As for special teams, Golden Tate is listed as the winner of the punt return job even though he never fielded a punt in the preseason and did it sparingly in practice once the pads came on. Quote Dwayne Washington is listed as the starting kick returner, even though he ranked outside the top 100 at it during the preseason. Quote TJ Jones is the backup at both kick and punt returner, and it wouldn't be surprising at all to see him get a few reps this season, perhaps even Sunday against Arizona. Quote Among rookies, only Davis is listed as having won a starting job. Here's the full depth chart for that game: Offense Receiver 1: Golden Tate, Kenny Golladay Left tackle: Greg Robinson, Brian Mihalik Left guard: Graham Glasgow, Joe Dahl Center: Travis Swanson Right guard: T.J. Worrilow has tons of experience which we need at the position, and Williams doesnt cut it one ST's.

We just need bodies at this point. Ngata is a big body. I don't think its asking too much to have him be an okay rotational guy.

We just cut LB Bellore. The special teamer. So why cut a starter?

I read that they cut Bellore with the intention of signing him after this game because his contract became guaranteed if he was on the opening day roster. Didn't care enough to fact check.
