I'm going to give him this year and hope to get back the guy we thought we had a few weeks ago, but right now, there's a lot of meat left on the bone. With Baker I just never get the sense that if things are going wrong he can step up and right the ship, you know? If things are going great he's a guy who will ride that positive energy, but if things are going wrong, he's going to make them worse. Same with OBJ. Same with Jarvis Landry. But again, I'm a salty Ravens fan who wishes the Browns nothing but failure, so maybe my analysis is clouded in that.

Why would you want to be the Vikings? Just saying. I get it years and years of losing. You’ll take one great season. But even Viking fans want to kill Cousins for that same reason
TENINCH
They are the Cleveland Browns. They got cocky in the offseason and the NFL hit them in the mouth for it.

There was MVP talk. Browns fans were insufferable in the offseason. I don’t remember actively rooting against a team outside the NFCE, as much as the Browns this year. dont worry we think youre insufferable too
Superduperman
I don't care how many free agents you sign, you don't just go from 0-16 to being an upper echelon team in a couple of years. They need more time to develop depth, get everyone working together, etc. I thought they'd be around 8-8 at best this year and anyone who thought they'd be better was getting suckered by the hype

eagles18
Baker Mayfield's arrogance is the primary issue.. Coaching comes close second. Mayfield, like Sherman said, "acts like he won the MVP last year".

I think that if you like him, he's the guy that can "right the ship" and bring that "leadership/chip on his shoulder" to a losing culture and change things with his "winning attitude". That was the 2018 narrative. The 2019 narrative is that he's a disrespectful punk who is picking up where he left off in college. In truth, I'm sure it's somewhere in between. That said, the video of the pregame handshake shows Baker acknowledging and shaking/hugging every 49ers captain, so surprise surprise, Richard Sherman made it up/read into the situation that he maybe wasn't given as much love as everyone else and the media ran with it. 27 minutes ago, ITS_RAMMY_PLAYBOI said: Tbh didn’t you guys beat up on bad teams? Last year? Yes but they also beat the Ravens, choked a game away against the Saints Week 2 (missed FG and extra points, costing them a win), and beat a bunch of 7-9 teams or worse, while losing in heartbreaking fashion to the Ravens, Bucs, and Raiders (blown officiating calls that the NFL admitted to, which cost them the game). 27 minutes ago, ITS_RAMMY_PLAYBOI said: Why would you want to be the Vikings? Because it's better than 0-16? It was miserably unwatchable. At least the Vikings give you the facade of hope of being a contender. 27 minutes ago, ITS_RAMMY_PLAYBOI said: Just saying. I get it years and years of losing. You’ll take one great season. But even Viking fans want to kill Cousins for that same reason I think the difference is that the Vikings went a long way a few years ago and have been a perennial competitive and playoff contending team. 0-16 to 5-11 isn't anywhere close, so the 7-9 to 11-5 realm is a lot more appealing. In theory, 2021 that won't be the case/shouldn't be the case.
