We've all seen how well Jacobs is playing, but his low rushing average has been reflective of what largely hasn't been great blocking. For every two good runs he has, he's getting stuffed for a 2 yard loss because the line is getting blown up.

Posted this in another thread but it's relevant here:

D's are focusing in on our running game and that is of course hurting JJ too.

Sam Young has been back on the practice field for the last 2 days.

Incognito obviously on the short term IR... Trent Brown still nowhere to be seen, but now Denzelle Good has also missed last 2 days. Hopefully it's management and not a serious risk of him not playing. Getting Young to play RT would allow us to slide Good back into LG so we don't have to trot out Simpson again.

Ruggs practiced... I think he's fully healthy. Even against the Saints, the film junkies like Ted Nguyen have pointed out that he was separating quite a bit and the Saints always had deep help on him. I don't think his lack of productivity was due to some lingering injury.

Wish we kept Sharpe, guy was a solid RT. Could have been an in house replacement for Brown

was a no brainer to keep Sharpe. instead for whatever reason they kept Brandon Parker... a guy they have SO much confidence in that they not only preferred to play Good at RT (despite having not practiced there all offseason), but that they'd rather play Good at RT AND the rookie Simpson at LG instead of playing Parker at RT. they literally have more confidence in Simpson to play as a rookie than Parker to play as a 3rd year player. oh and journeyman Sam Young ran away with the swing tackle role

With Tyrell, Ruggs, and Edwards all hurt, we're back to 2019 status at WR. no good.

i really dont mind what agholor has been showing, but he doesnt have the chops to be an every down guy.

Last season we thought our top 4 WR's would be Antonio Brown, Tyrell Williams, JJ Nelson, and Hunter Renfrow. But then we ended up with Hunter Renfrow, Zay Jones, Trevor Davis, and Keelan doss.

This year we thought our top 4 WR's would be Henry Ruggs, Tyrell Williams, Bryan Edwards, and Hunter Renfrow. And now we're down to Hunter Renfrow, Zay Jones, Nelson Agholor, and Rico Gafford.

Brutal.
