agarcia34
Surprised it happened, but not shocked. He cannot get on the field and for them to release him means he was not close to returning. Probably gonna have a Tyrell and Zay starting with Davis and Renfrow in the slot. Dessie
Brown, Grant and now Nelson, some turnover of players at the WR position after 5 weeks.

Yep and the depressing thing is most of us could have predicted Brown would be trouble (albeit not quite to the extent he was) and that Grant and Nelson were marginal roster players at that. Not a good look at all for the FO, especially as they're now back to a couple guys they had cut.

agarcia34
Vic also mentioned that game as something that Gruden probably never forgave him for.

big_palooka
Davis pretty much came in and took his roll in the offense as the speed option. I like that Mayock is willing to churn the bottom end of the roster in search of talent.
agarcia34
The turn over at WR since Gruden has been here been simply amazing and sad. He changes WR's like he changes underwear. Can't continue to have this happen going forward.

If they can find halfway competent WR that can stay healthy, this will stop presumably.
true2form
Not surprised one bit. Also means they're confident with what they've seen so far with Jones.
oakdb36
Might as well give the young guys their opportunities the rest of the season.

This^ Davis is now the speed option I had imagined Gruden had those plays drawn up for JJ then he couldn't go and Davis shined.

Nice little moment with Cooper/Crabtree briefly, but it's been void of real talent for years. Williams will be a staple and he's going to churn to find others. They will be active in the draft no doubt.
