SBLIII
It all starts and ends with the OL. Lost starting C, Mason and Cannon are banged up, Newhouse is bad. Getting Wynn back will help a lot. After that receiving targets. Edelman is very good but not much after that. The Pats need to pull off a trade for TE/WR, get Harry and Wynn back in the fold. When those 3 things happen the offense should be significantly better.
DoleINGout
Everyone shares a piece of the pie. Brady: Too lax in the pocket at times. Depends solely on veteran receivers Michel: Inconsistent decision-making Edelman: Concentration drops, unsurprisingly yet again Gordon: Lethargy; inconsistent effort/concentration Offensive Line: Just conditioning and health Tight Ends: Health/conditioning and first year with team Josh McDaniels: Everything not involving communication with Brady or coaching the receivers. Bill Belichick: Thinking it was smart to sign Antonio Brown after all of the warning signs in the last year alone prior to the sexual assault accusations Edited October 11, 2019 by DoleINGout

Deadpulse
It starts with the OL in my opinion. OR rather, the blocking in general. Michel has shown to not be the best blocker and our TE's are relatively lax as well. Dump on that the fact that 3/5 of our OL starters are not who we envisioned them being when the season began. With that, the run game is inconsistent at best and teams play to beat Brady. IMO its the only reason the running game has had any success; teams are playing for the pass and blitzing for sacks not to disrupt the run. CP3MVP
There’s nothing special about a Sony as a RB.
ChazStandard
Partly the exact same issue as last year - they're moving the ball very well, but they have no deep threat and struggle in the RZ. Gordon was meant to fix both those things, but a cobination of a banged up OL and him just not looking right mean Brady is steadily turning away from him. Simply put, the OL is banged up which is the major issue, but to be a truly elite offense again they need a big target who can at least slightly match Gronk's RZ production. NFL Network
If this team wants to win the SB this year it will have to be the blueprint of the 2003 team as that offense struggled at times but keep in mind they picked up the defense when the defense struggled against the Colts in the reg season game and in the 2nd half of the SB against the Panthers. We have to hope this defense can stay elite when playing the Chiefs in the reg season and AFC playoffs if they do in fact meet (home field is a must this year). If it wasn't a must, then the team would be so good it would have HFA anyways... 14 minutes ago, ChazStandard said: Simply put, the OL is banged up which is the major issue, but to be a truly elite offense again they need a big target who can at least slightly match Gronk's RZ production. I feel like their gameplan against Pitt was inspired. The used two backs in the backfield in both shotgun and undercenter and utilized them as pass catchers. I felt, at the time, that was how they were going to compensate for the lack of TE production. We went to Miami and I chalked it up to getting AB acclimated but I have since been really disappointed with how vanilla and obvious the playcalling and scheming has been. bluemushrooms
Just lost Jakob Johnson to the Practice Squad as well. Are we going to see the return of Shaq Mason at FB?? Do we have anyone on the DL that we can throw back there? We're so short handed it's ridiculous. Maybe bring back Watson now? Gordon is beat to all hell as well; dude needs to rest up because he's barely able to finish games with his current injury rate. Hunter2_1
OL, Receivers not getting open and lack of consistent running game. I saw both Izzo and whoever was lead blocking get floored on one run. That doesn't happen in last season's post season

It barely ends well and usually a vast majority of the credit belongs to Brady or Belichick miraculously bailing the team out. It doesn't hurt that the road to a lot of the previous Super Bowl's through the AFC East and then in the playoffs has not been very competitive year-to-year. Usually there is one team that will "get hot" in a season from the AFC besides the Patriots but the spotlight is as much an enemy for most as the Patriots players and coaches themselves. This year it seems the Chiefs will remain pretty strong and the Colts are well-rounded again. Maybe one of them can get and stay hot but otherwise it's another cakewalk until the you get to the big dance.

"...barely ends well" The team has won 3 of the last 5 superbowls and been to a 4th. 8 straight AFCCGs....
