Yeah the tournament should be pretty fun this year. The level of talent is way, way down across the country. RandyMossIsBoss Posted November 13, 2019 Share Posted November 13, 2019 (edited) Losing at home to a mid/low tier mid major is awful, worst loss of the Cal era regardless of rankings... however, UK being ranked #1, which they reached off the back of an evidently erroneous #2 preseason ranking, is the only reason this is being treated as such a monumental upset. It's November, and this UK team just isn't that good. Again, even if this UK team wasn't even ranked this would probably be Cal's worst loss and they should be embarrassed, but it's not nearly as shocking a loss as media is making it out to be. Should be framed more as simply a blue blood losing at home to middling mid major, which is still newsworthy, rather than #1 team losing. I'm not a huge fan of us already being the #1 team in the country next week. We're so young, haven't shot the ball very well, and still have to develop our rotation/identity.
