Yes. Seems like an easy choice.

As much as I love Godwin, I just want a QB, and the 8th pick may help get Herbert or Love. 14th pick on OT, 2nd rounder on RB. But, won't happen anyway haha.

I'd rather trade Howard though.

So about that Tua guy if he starts to drop.  Would the Bucs really pass on him because of injury history.  His injury history is no worse then Teddy s.  Only difference his injury occurred in college.

Absolutely not. He's gotten clearance from multiple lower extremity specialists. He has no lasting effects...

Which is why it's unlikely he slips now...

Tua's injuries have all been different parts of his body, right? Different ankles, knees, hips, etc.?

I don't think he's had any recurring injuries to the same ankle (or whatever) that would raise questions.

The hip injury was fluky anyway. As long as he's cleared (and by all accounts he is), I can't imagine he makes it past the third pick.

Okay, there are weird things that happen at the draft.  Dan Marino out of Pitt goes after a Div II prospect  Ken O Brien in  the 84 draft for you younger fans.  Aaron Rodgers out of Cal in the discussion for first overall, falls to the 20s.  Fan favorite Teddy Bridgewater out of Louisville, no way he is dropping out of the top 10, drafted 32.

Not lead pipe lock writing Tua will drop.  However, the NFL evaluation of QB prospect has shown in certain instances to be vastly different then coverage of the pre draft process.  Tua as a Qb prospect is really in uncharted territory.  The recent closest was RGIII out of Baylor, who tore his ACL, but was able to play a full season in college before the draft.

Whoever they sign in FA at Qb, they have to draft a QB early enough who has a legit chance to develop and start pretty quickly.  Relying on a 43 yr old Qb to play 16 games, dangerous.  Rely on a Qb to play 16 games who hasn t done it in over 5 yrs, stupid.  Rely on a 6th yr Qb to finally figure it out and give 16 games of consistent play, a stretch.  I luv me some Cole McDonald, but even I would be disappointed if he was the choice because his development curve is going to be so long.

If this organization feels Gabbert or Stanton can be that guy at back up spot, then they deserve this free agency decision to blow up in their face.
