Xmad
I guess the bears like overpaying their front seven players?
JaguarCrazy2832
I remember him from the draft. Did he really turn into a good player once he left the Saints?
Jakuvious
Seems pricey. He is good, but I'm not sure he's quite that good. But, who else is Chicago going to be paying? Easily their biggest free agent next year.

Considering that's what happens with all of our defensive players, I would assume so.
TheKillerNacho
Nice getting him locked up... the contract should just about cover his prime.

Very much so. He most definitely should have gone to the Pro Bowl last season.
1ForTheThumb
Was a solid player for the Patriots and I really wanted him to re-sign here. Good for him.

Pernell McPhee, Lamar Houston, Danny Trevathan, Jerrel Freeman etc. All of whom were/are talented but were more or less overpaid given their play on the field so far. Dome
He wasn't bad for the Saints by any means. I was mad at the trade and thought we could've got a lot more for him, but his success shouldn't surprise any Saints fans. Glad he got paid. The last two definitely not. McPhee sure maybe now. Houston wasnt signed by this front office. Plus even if we did overpay for a good majority of the players does it even matter especially on the front 7? With the amount of cap space we have I think not. Fair enough on Trevathan and Freeman, it's too early to tell if they'll actually work out for the team. Though the suspension and Trevathan's Knee injury are a pretty big concern. Overpaying for players does matter, If you overpay for too many players you're stuck in cap hell. It's not just the front seven, Mike Glennon obviously but he's more or less on a 1 year deal and he's actually yet to play a game....But I really doubt he'll end up being worth the 15+ million they paid for him. Markus Wheaton (A dude who had 4 catches a year ago) was given 6 million. Sure he showed upside for the steelers, but he was incredibly inefficient as a receiver when he was healthy.
