"It didn't matter if it was on planet Mars, he wanted the opportunity to be a starter." From the Titans' perspective, as one source explained, this was all about Mariota's injury history, not performance. If Mariota got hurt, who could step in and do more than just function? They wanted a high-level backup and considered everyone. The day before Tannehill was traded, the move became easier because Teddy Bridgewater re-signed with the New Orleans Saints. KingTitan
2016 was the last time that Tannehill was able to string together two 300 yard games back to back. (Week 2 and 3..387 and 319 respectively). Last year he wasn't able to post back to back 200 yard games. The season high of 289 and 3TDs against Oakland (Won 28-20) was followed up by 100 yard 1 INT performance against the Patriots. (Lost 38-7). I was looking at this to see if he is able to consistently put together solid games. He couldn't do it last year. Based on 2016 looks like he could.
