Would have thought this value would be closer to Sanu's. Like this deal for both teams.

Sanu has one more year on the deal, Manny is a rental. Sanu is also insanely cheap (6.5) next year, while Manny is making 10+ this year.

Pats significantly overpaid but can afford to. Just wish they'd overpaid for our guy.

I was about to reply with the same comment.  Compensation never equals talent.  The contract is always a major factor.

Hopefully this works out well for Sanders...and more importantly my fantasy team

1.  He knows the SF O because the Shanny system is the same as the Scangarelli system.  Except for the fact the QB is mobile, the OL can actually pass protect, and their TE is all-world.

2.  He'll fit like a glove in the slot where they need help.

3.  This will take coverage off Kittle - or they let Sanders really eat.

Deebo Samuel and Dante Pettis are great future assets - but they're not at Sanders' current level.  He becomes their #1 WR immediately, and #2 target overall, with RZ targets when D's try to take away Kittle, too.

Honestly, other than NO, this was the only spot where I think Sanders keeps or improves his fantasy value.

On the flip side, pour one out for Cortland Sutton and the DEN RB's.   Once Drew Lock takes over (which will be no later than Week 13, and could on Week 11 after our bye), it's going to get REALLY ugly in DEN.   But it also helps our draft position, and with 5 Day 2 picks (PIT's 3rd, SF's 3rd, and our ) and 2 Round 4 picks, it's time for Elway to finally build the roster depth up.  His failures in Day 2 from 2013-7 are why we are here (along with his reach-for-need Rd1), but he's fixed that approach since 2018, so there's hope there.  But it's going to take time - and Elway FINALLY admits what we all see.

On the other hand - SF also played keep away from NO.  Gotta think NO will respond with getting Chris Harris Jr. now.
