Broncofan
What is known about incident - https://www.wtae.com/article/steelers-linebacker-anthony-chickillo-arrested-facing-several-charges/29528843# Keeping it to football - PIT's D takes a hit. I will also add that PIT went out their way to let the league make this call, and leave it at that. It's definitely news, but man, hope this thread stays open for at least a day. Fl0nkerton
Yikes. Happy for Jayrone though. Hope he finds some success there.
skywlker32
I figured something would be happening with Chickillo. I was hoping the Steelers would sign newly available Tuzar Skipper though to fill the role. Maybe they still will. How long is the wait for waivers? SWATcha
Is this a big hit to the Steelers D? Not familiar with this guy.
TheKillerNacho
Is Chikkillo even good?
Dome
Good for Jayrone Elliot. He's got some upside. Had a great preseason with the Saints last year, then was tearing up the AFL until it folded. Hope he gets a chance to play a bit.

Neumatic
Chick on his best day is just a guy, not much of a hit to the defense.
43M
Chick sucks on D. Isnt even a particularly good ST guy, but Colbert and Tomlin value familiarity over upside, which is why we foolishly kept him over Tuzar Skipper.

Similar to how he traded up for Bush, admitting he was wrong last year in how he handled ILB? There is a reoccurring theme here with colbert. I still want him gone, but hope to win for now like everyone. Bring Skipper back though, that's the first thing colbert needs to do.
Packerraymond
Good for Jayrone. Good dude, was always serviceable here and made a few plays. Nice to see him fight his way back.
CKSteeler
I'm really curious on what the league's criteria for these sorts of things is. It still seems a lot like a monkey throwing a dart at a board to me. Not that I particularly care about the loss of Chickillo. I just don't get how you justify putting him on the exempt list but letting certain other guys play.
