and Jaguars and Lions both who didn't make the playoffs.

Ultimately you should be happy about any win on TNF if you come out relatively healthy.

Yeah, if this game was on Sunday, I think Minnesota would've been able to put up more points and look better overall.

Even if Thielen was still out.

SMH.  Absolutely the right call Zimmer.  Just the totally wrong play.   Run Cook when it’s more than 4th and inches.   QB sneak dumb on 4th and 1 with Cousins. Problem is Zimmer will likely punt the next time when he should absolutely go for it.  Damn.

To be fair not getting it put the Redskins in field goal range. If they had punted it would have been pretty unlikely that Haskins would have driven them down the field to score

That's using results-hindsight.   The Vikes put up 150+ rushing yards on WAS.   The mistake was in being predictable, and using a guy who doesn't get any push, or has a feel for QB sneaks.

The next time they are 4th-and-less-than-1, facing a D that is as run leaky as WAS is, the right call is to go for it.  Just maybe put it in the hands of the guys who do that for a living, or use a player where Cousins has more options than just trying to push forward.   Not his strong suit at all.

Washington played it perfect. QB sneaks are hard to stop but yeah cook or ham probably would have been a better play. I'm just saying I get why Zimmer regrets going for it at that spot in the field
