Wow I really hope he’s got nothing left in the tank.. he was still pretty damn good last year. Cowboys already have top tier DE duo w/ Quinn’s resurgence, don’t need another dangerous DE. Probably could use him as passing down DT too.

He's at a stage in his career where I don't think he can play 50+ snaps.  And he sells out now a TON to get to the QB.  So he's far better in a rotation.

But Crawford is definitely a guy he can pair with - and upgrade the DAL pass rush.  Frankly, they could use this.

But let's make no mistake - BB also did this to make sure he didn't sign with an AFC contender.   It's also telling he chose DAL.  He made a calculated decision here (didn't want him in NO, SF, GB/MIN, etc.).

Not a bad move if it's mostly for rotational DE depth/3rd down NASCAR package with him at 3T and Quinn and DLaw at the ends. But if he has to play starter snaps he's gonna get exposed quick. NE keeps him away from the major contenders and Dallas tries to fortify their hold on the weak NFC East. Good for both teams.

His snap count saw a steady decline in the last few weeks. Then he got suspended for getting into it with a position coach over his lack of play time. Definitely lost a step this year and probably just a situational ok pass rusher at this point. Maybe this trade sparks a fire in him tho, who knows. Pats basically gave him away which shows how much they valued him.

Bill might have put his faith in the Cowboys to screw it up but not before taking out an NFC Contender along the way, (or at least making life more difficult for other NFC foes).

Great assessment of where he probably is as a player at this point. A 3T in the nickel packages is something the Cowboys badly need
