Despite all the issues with their hobbled Oline/WR/TE corps, the Pats still have the #1 scoring offense in the NFL. They're leading by so many points in this category that even removing the defensive TDs still leave the Pats at #1. Not that I'm surprised Patriot fans are down on the offense given what we've come to expect from that side of the ball. They're been hammered by injuries and been outshined by the #1 scoring defense. But don't sleep on this offense, they're getting a little healthier, building a little more chemistry, they're going to be a lot better down the stretch.

They're merely above average points per drive.  Not all that impressive, especially considering who they've played.

But Pats are always for real, teams would be crazy to sleep on them regardless of what any stats say.

NE has the #6 scoring offense in the league, behind Baltimore, Dallas, San Fran, GB, KC.

ESPN shows them at #1:

With 250 total points scored, 24 coming from defense. #1 in total points and #1 in ppg. Even going off your link showing ppg (which site claims is estimated?), Pats are 2 ppg behind. Incredible given the injuries everywhere.

Need to check your facts, man. Your defense has scored 5 TDs and a safety (37 points). They are 6th in offensive scoring. Those are just the facts. No need to try to embellish it lol

Thought it was 4 TDS (6points* 4tds). Either way, one less TD is irrelevant to the point I was making. Pats are still a top scoring offense, which is impressive given the adversity it's faced. Looking forward to see what they can do when the get some pieces back.

I’ll admit to box score scouting a bit, but the Pats are ranked mediocre in Any/A, bottom of the league in rushing yards/attempt, have third most punts in the league, mediocre 3rd down %.

But what they have had, is more drives than any other team in the league.  From the surface, this looks like a case of obscenely good defense making offense look better.

Not that they’re bad by any means, but hardly close to number 1 offense.

until they can run the football they are not better than an average offense.

I think they’re better than average.  Merely having Brady makes them better than average, even if he’s surrounded by garbage.  But I’m not at all confident placing them among the best in the league, once everything is taken into consideration, at least not yet.
