I wouldn't be surprised if it's conditional on Talib playing for them or signing an extension, neither of which is likely to happen. The RAms say they expect it, so maybe it's something super easy to hit or something, but I'd be somewhat surprised since there is really no reason for the Dolphins to do it, unless they "promised" the Rams that they would (if it was something like Talib playing this year)

animaltested
Lovin' this NBA style salary dump. Teams should do this more. Spending 4.3 million to essentially buy draft capital is a savvy move on Miami's part IMO.

El Ramster
I think something happened with Talib and Peters. I think they had enough of wade and maybe even weddle. They just didn’t fit and the rams quickly removed them from the team. These trades set a narrative and it could be very flammable. Snead has cut Jamon Brown who was a decent starter, traded Quinn who was a locker room guy. And made some moves in trading for Talib and Peters. But hey he’s making stuff happen.. Just need to show some loyalty to the squad and not make every guy seem replaceable.. MIAMI NATION STAND THE HELL UP.. also, did Talib have another year? I was under the impression that this was his last year. Not sure how trading him helps.

And yeah he's a free agent this off season.

So it seems like Stan wants to make no money as usually what’s left of the cap space goes into the owners pocets. So stan is dead serious about building a contender, which is why we have so much money to spend. He’s keeping 0 money.

You can say a lot about Stan but the Rams pay coaches and front office well and have more assistant coaches than almost any team. And they're never in danger of not spending cap space
Lilseb93
The trade is good for both teams. We give the Rams cap relief and lets them have more space next year, and we get a 5th round pick out it and he becomes a FA next year.

They’re going the Sam Hinkie route!

Love how this is becoming Jared’s team. Just a shame Gurley was robbed of a HOF career. Dude was headed for greatness.
