Ticket sales are pointing to 75% Packer fans. Others are saying that number might be low. Of course, Spanos jacked up the prices to $350 plus

That’s ok.  Packer fans save diligently and plan well ahead for booger-eaters like Spanos and his antics.  Packer nation will never be deterred!

It is one of six games the Packers have this season against 2018 playoff teams (Chicago twice, Philadelphia, Dallas, Kansas City), with four of those contests taking place on the road. So far, the Packers are 3-1 against 2018 playoff teams.

THE DOPE ON THIS WEEK’S OPPONENT:

Packers vs. Chargers:

  • Regular season, all-time: 10-1-0
  • All-time, at Chargers: 6-0
  • Streaks: The Packers have won each of the last seven regular-season meetings.
  • Last meeting, regular season: Oct. 18, 2015, at Lambeau Field; Packers won, 27-20
  • The two teams have met 11 times in the regular season in a series that dates back to 1970, the year of the AFL-NFL merger

The Chargers were the hosts for the Packers’ first-ever appearance on Monday Night Football, on Oct. 12, 1970. The Packers won, 22-20, on a 14-yard Dale Livingston field goal with 3:39 remaining
  • Their second meeting, at Lambeau Field in 1974, was won by the Packers, 34-0, and became Dan Devine’s final victory in his four-year tenure as Green Bay head coach
  • Packers WR Jake Kumerow is the cousin of Chargers DE Joey Bosa… ( GB got Fredo'd on that deal)

The return game should be interesting.

I’m interested to see if SD will kick to Smith like other teams kicked to Shepherd. It was obvious that you could pop a ball up to the 5 against Shep and he would have no chance of getting it to the 25. Smith might be worth an extra 5 yards (hopefully never but likely 3-6 times a game) to us in that department.

Does anyone know the PR plan? Smith never returned in KC

Somebody asked Pete Dougherty about PR in his chat yesterday, and his best guess was Tramon Williams. He's competent, and he's done it before. Jaire Alexander would be a flashier option, but they may not want to expose him to injury. They don't have any other players with significant punt returning experience.

ESPN:  Hunter Henry's production this season suggests he could be one of the league's most impactful tight ends. The 24-year-old is averaging 76 receiving yards per game, which puts him just ahead of Travis Kelce and Austin Hooper and at the top of the leader board for tight ends with four or more games played. Since his return to the lineup in Week 6, Henry has generated 14 first downs in the passing game, which ranks fifth in the NFL.

"Despite ranking in the middle of the pack in total offense, the Chargers were struggling to establish a running game and have any efficiency in the red zone.

Lynn is known for having an offensive philosophy which prioritizes the running game, and when he was asked if he wants to run the ball all the time, he denied.

“There is a narrative that I want to run the ball all of the time. That’s not true. I want to win, and we need better balance. Believe me, I’ll throw it 50 times if that’s what it takes to win,” Lynn said.  Instead of Lynn calling the plays, quarterbacks coach Shane Steichen will be the man in charge."

Note: anybody named Shane = loser
