CIVILIZATION:  A RNG BATTLE Game

This is another Discord Battle Game (similar to Battle Brats).

You select your Empire (First Come, First Served...only one player per empire), and your Advances (players can select duplicates).

SOME EMPIRES MAY BE BETTER THAN OTHERS

And then the game is battled out in a Discord thread until there is one 1 surviving empire!!

Aiming for a game start on Saturday and ending Tuesday.

Once you announce your empire and advancements in thread, you are in the game! Before the game starts, you may change your advancements, but NOT your empire.

 

We will randomize the order of attack each round. Each empire will attack the one below it unless specified.

Each successful attack will take away 1 unit unless specified.

 

Description of Stats:

Units: HP. When this goes to 0, your empire is destroyed.

Advancement points:  How much you can spend on picking advancements

Diplomacy: Chance of convincing an empire not to attack.

Defense: Chance of avoiding unit damage when successfully attacked

Trait:  A special trait for that empire. Can be good, bad, or both

Roman:

Units: 8

Advancement points: 5

Diplomacy 15%

Defense: 15%

Trait: Et Tu - After Rome successfully attacks, a 5% chance of being backstabbed and immediately killed by Brutus

 

Aztecs

 

Units: 7

Advancement points: 3

Diplomacy 0

Defense: 30%

Trait: Warrior Power - 30 percent chance you get to take an additional offensive turn.

 

American

Units: 7

Advancement Points: 4

Diplomacy 40%

Defense: 0%

Trait: Alliance -  After a successful Diplomacy check by America, that country will have a 40% chance to join an alliance with America. That means that the next time that country tries to attack America, they will instead skip to the next country on the list.

 

Arabian

Units: 7

Advancement points: 4

Diplomacy 30%

Defense: 20%

Trait: Trade Route - If the Diplomacy check is successful, the Arabian empire sets up a trade route with the opposing empire giving them both a bonus 15% Defense next roll.

 

 

Brazilian:

Units: 7

Advancement Points:  3

Diplomacy: 0%

Defense: 50%

Trait: Rainforest - Because the battle will be in the Amazon, 30% chance to cause the attacking empire to attack themselves instead (takes effect if a successful attack)

 

Canadian:

Units: 7

Advancement Points:  4

Diplomacy 25%

Defense: 20%

Trait: Frostbite - If an empire decides to attack Canada (whether successful or not), there's a 30% chance they will be frostbitten and roleblocked next round.

 

China:

Units: 9

Advancement Points:  4

Diplomacy 40%

Defense: 40%

Traits:

Ban! - If an empire successfully attacks China, China will have a 20% chance to decide to ban them. If China decides to ban the empire, there's a 15% chance that the empire is successfully banned and is killed. However, there's an 85% chance that the ban fails and China is roleblocked next round.

World Pariah - Any empire that China successfully attacks will have a 50% chance to try to attack them next round no matter what the order is

 

English:

Units: 7

Advancement Points:  4

Diplomacy 40%

Defense: 0%

Trait: Tea Time - After a successful diplomacy check, the English will invite the opposing empire to tea, thus roleblocking them next turn.

 

French:

Units: 7

Advancement Points:  4

Diplomacy 50%

Defense: 0%

Trait: Abscond  - Before the French attack, their opponent has an additional 15% added to their Diplomacy roll because the French don't wanna fight!

 

German:

Units: 7

Advancement Points:  4

Diplomacy 15%

Defense: 15%

Trait: Capture - Upon successfully attacking, there is a 10% chance that they will imprison the empire they attacked. If this happens, that empire cannot make any attacks until Germany is destroyed. That empire has a 40% chance of escaping the prison before their turn though

 

Greek:

Units: 7

Advancement Points:  2

Diplomacy 35%

Defense: 0%

Trait: Trojan Horse - Automatically starts with the Espionage advancement. The success percentage is increased to 35%.

 

Mongolian:

Units: 8

Advancement Points:  2

Diplomacy 15%

Defense: 15%

Trait: Khaaaaan - Since Genghis Khan is the leader, there's a 40% chance to deal double damage for a successful attack

 

Russian:

Units: 7

Advancement Points:  4

Diplomacy 0%

Defense: 45%

Trait: Land war in Asia -  If Russia's defense is successful against an attacking empire, there is a 35% chance for that empire to have a 0% Diplomacy and Defense roll next round.

 

Persia:

Units: 7

Advancement Points:  3

Diplomacy 0%

Defense: 35%

Trait: Drew Blood - If successfully attacked, has a 35% chance of becoming furious and striking back against the attacking empire, dealing 1 unit automatic damage.

 

Zulu:

Units: 8

Advancement Points:  2

Diplomacy 0%

Defense: 35%

Trait: Conquered - If the Zulu Empire delivers the killing blow to any empire, they acquire an additional unit.

 

Huns:

Units: 7

Advancement Points:  3

Diplomacy: 0%

Defense: 35%

Trait: Attila  - Upon a successful defense, deal 1 unit damage to the opposing empire

 

Japan:

Units: 6

Advancement Points:  6

Diplomacy 40%

Defense: 0%

Trait: Godzilla - Before attacking, has a 5% chance to summon Godzilla and take away 1 unit from each remaining country

 

 

Select your Advancements

Advancements either cost 1, 2, or 3 These advancements aren't "used up" if another player selects them. A particular player can't double-up on them though.

 

1 Point:

Medicine: An additional 10% boost to Defense

Code of Laws: An additional 10% boost to Diplomacy

Mass Production: 20% chance you get an additional turn attempt

 

2 Points:

Explosives: 10% chance that when an empire successfully attacks you, you set off an explosion, doing 2 units worth of damage to the opposing empire

Philosophy: 40% chance that upon a successful Diplomacy check, the empire who decided not to attack you will have their diplomacy roll reduced to 0 for the next round.

Espionage: You have a 15% chance to move one of your units to the empire you are attacking (determined pre-attack). If successful, you temporarily lose a unit but the empire you infiltrated will lose a unit each round (before their next attack) until they kill the spy (50% chance to kill the spy after the spy does 1 unit of damage). Only 1 active spy in an opposing empire at a time. If the spy isn't killed, and the opposing empire is down to 1 unit, the spy rejoins your army again (+1 unit to you)

 

3 points:

Nuclear Power: Upon a successful attack by your empire, you have an additional 10% chance of completely wiping out an empire by using a nuke.

Leadership: 15% chance that upon a successful attack, instead of damaging their unit, you will convert their infantry  to yours (-1unit for your opponent, +1 unit to yourself)
