Unpopular culinary opinions

Let 'em fly! We all have our game day favorites, but we also have foods we just can't get on board with, no matter how many people insist they are great. Here's my list.

1. Avocados. What is the modern fascination with these? They don't taste any better than they did five or ten years ago. Their texture hasn't improved. They are still bland and unappetizing. You guys can have all the avocados, I'll pass.

2. Bananas. Another mushy fruit I never developed a taste for, except in my grandmother's banana bread. I'll eat that all day long.

3. Bacon in desserts. Just no. Stop pretending these flavors go together. I love bacon in almost all forms, but not on my donuts or in my ice cream.

4. Sea salt with caramel. See third sentence of #3.

5. Pineapple on pizza. This will never work for me.

1. I can't eat them solo but I like them as a topping or spread on tacos, bowls, wraps, etc.

2. I eat one 4-6 times a week post workout. I probably wouldn't eat them otherwise, although I like them.

3. Bacon is overrated but I do enjoy it on occasion.

4. Sea salt and caramel cookies and ice cream are pretty good.

5. Disagree

Agree with number 1 and 5. Avocados taste like nothing. Pineapple on pizza is pure heresy.

Recently picked up bananas as a food I like.

1. Cold soups are disgusting and have no place in a meal
2. Black pepper is overused
3. Mushrooms are the most vile food in any dish
4. Olives can die
5. Coconut oil is overrated.

1. Avocados are lame.
2. I don't mind a banana every now and then. They are decent enough but needed to eat with something.
3. Bacon is overrated. @kingseanjohn
4. Sea salt with caramel is very good, especially with ice cream.
5. Never appealed to me so never tried pineapple on pizza but I don't want to try it ever.

1. Why are cold soups a thing? I don't think I ever had one. @titansNvolsR#1
2. It could be overused.
3. Mushrooms are good at times but they can be over done.
4. Olives are glorious.
5. I've never used coconut oil to cook with.

American Cheese is always a pass for me when given a choice.

Don't care for bananas themselves, but love the flavor. If there's a banana flavored drink, that is usually my choice.

I'm extremely anti salt period. So anything with sea salt is kind of  a non starter for me
