Vikes_Bolts1228
Certainly feels like a must win after the loss yesterday. On the road, SNF, Dallas.....can Kirk overcome all that or will he be the Kirk who has a rep of choking under the spotlight? vikingsrule
Must win is still premature. What if they lose? Is the season over? This is a game that would be encouraging to pull off given that it’s on the road, in prime time against a good team. It’s the type of game that Zimmer doesn’t get his team up for playing (or maybe that’s the fault of the players) and Cousins mentally folds. So a win probably needs to happen if we truly want to gauge that any progress is being made. A loss is definitely concerning but a win doesn’t guarantee anything either.
VikeManDan
Another game where we have the "advantage" of having more rest. Played Chicago coming off of MNF and lost. Played KC coming off of TNF and lost. Will play Dallas coming off of MNF and TBD. Hopefully we can capitalize on this one.
SemperFeist
This is a must win. Maybe not mathematically, but for standings, seeding, and morale. It’s no longer about proving their doubters wrong for the Vikings. It has now become about proving it to themselves. The Vikings need to prove to themselves that they can win a big game, against a good opponent. And it’s not just about Cousins. Zimmer and this defense need to show that they can step up in a big moment, as well. Edited November 4, 2019 by SemperFeist

It’s just one game but they certainly need it for morale. Let’s say hypothetically that Dallas loses tonight and go to .500, will anyone view a win differently if Dallas then becomes a below .500 team? SteelKing728
The black cat saved the jinx for next week for Dallas. It just needs time to settle. The Vikings will be the beneficiaries. Skol!!!

Not at all. But if they don't win this game, they're not going anywhere this season. If you can't beat an above-average Dallas in primetime, you're not going into San Fran and winning or SuperDome or Century Link Field in the playoffs. This team won't win a playoff game on the road so winning the division is CRITICAL. Losing this one would mean we probably lose 3 of our last 4 (Chiefs, Dallas, Seattle) before heading into the last 3 games in which 3 are against the NFC North which are always a biatch to win regardless of where and how well the Packers/Lions/Bears are playing. I don't want to go into those final 4 games (including one against a Chargers team who just baffled the Packers) with a 7-5 record and have to rely on help or the Vikings winning in week 17 to make the playoffs again. This is a must win if the Vikings want to be known as contenders or pretenders. Win this game, get to 7-3....should beat Denver....8-3.....probably won't beat Seattle....8-4.... Should beat Detroit/Chicago....10-4. Could beat both an Diego and Packers at home 12-4. Give or take two loses....10-6. Looks a lot better than 6-4 after losing to Dallas.....7-4 beating Denver....7-5 losing to Seattle, etc. Not to mention the Rams, Panthers, and Eagles are only a game behind us for the #6 wild card spot (assuming Seattle gets the #5.) So yes, I think this is a must win. It's not a win or go home game but it's critical to win this one. VD, why is it we help you out in the standings (3 gms) but get nothing from the Vikings back in return? I mean damn, at least sweeten the deal buy guaranteeing a SNF win in November as well? Stop being so greedy!!🍺 Edited November 6, 2019 by Nabbs4u
SteelKing728
Last week it seemed like KC was able to get a bunch of big plays with ease. It should have been unsustainable but it kept happening it seemed. Zimmer needs to show he can respond this week. Its a big week. We can't just fold like we did last week. Stefanski needs to call a good game too.
Vikes_Bolts1228
Zimmer said something really weird in his presser Monday (or maybe Tuesday morning....I forget) He criticized Kirk's post-game press conference and said "Kirk talks too much," and said Kirk gave away inside secrets (which I didn't hear ANYTHING put typical QB speak after a game.) Zimmer.....SHUT UP, FFS! The last thing you need to do is call out your QB who doesn't respond well to that stuff 6 days before he plays a primetime game on the road against a probable playoff team in a virtual must-win game. Zimmer is good to do this once or twice a year and it's baffling. Just keep it internal. This is how players get pissed off if you're calling them out in press conferences (i.e. Barr) Edited November 6, 2019 by Vikes_Bolts1228
