Alabama missing the playoffs

The question is, how large will the fact that LSU was up 33-13 at half weigh with the committee when factoring in Bama? Like lets not forget that Bama did have a BYE just like LSU and was at home. So to start the game just being dominated by LSU doesnt look good. Now credit Bama for coming back and making it a game but still you wouldnt think Bama would come out like they did on really every aspect. The offense turned the ball over twice, the defense gave up 33pts, and even the special teams had some miscues. So again how will the committee factor just the domination LSU had over Bama in the 1st half?

I personally think Bama will miss the playoffs because their only two tough games were against LSU which they lost and for most of the game it was domination by LSU and then the game coming up against Auburn. The question is, how good will Auburn be by the time Bama play them? They already have 2 losses, and could have 3 losses if they lose to Georgia. So you will put Bama in if they beat a potentially 3 loss Auburn team at the time when you faced them? Like Bama schedule was just too weak compared to lets say an Oregon team who could only have 1 loss too and the only game they loss was to Auburn at the beginning of the season which Oregon was winning for the majority of the game except the end. Then we cant forget Penn St. because if they beat Ohio St. which will be the number 2 team in the nation when the next rankings come out, then Penn State will have an impressive win on their schedule because we know how the committee feels about Ohio St. So yeah like its going to take alot if Bama were to get it but I dont think the will.

Making the playoff isn’t about earning it.  With a healthy Tua Bama would be favored vs anyone on a neutral field.

If you're crapping on Bamas schedule, you better have that energy with Clemson who literally plays 0 good teams this year and almost lost to UNC. The best 4 teams in the country are OSU, Clemson, LSU and Bama and I hope thats who we see in the CFP.

@malibuspeedrace when he memes Minnesota into the playoffs over OSU

All Bama hate aside, if they win out, they deserve to be in over several teams (and given the committee's history, they will be). That they started out flat today won't (and shouldn't) matter. LSU isn't a cupcake and Alabama fought their way back into it. Frankly, even if we were to "eye test" that first half, it's still better than Clemson being tied with UNC or LSU being tied with Florida and Auburn at halftime. LSU had a hot day, they're a great team, and it all says more about them than Alabama.

Auburn can make things really interesting though by beating Georgia, LSU, or Alabama (particularly the first 2). Does a 1 loss Alabama go in over a 2 loss SEC champion Georgia or would a 1-loss LSU team take that second SEC bid?

Pont is, there are still plenty of weird scenarios that can play out, but this game alone doesn't knock Alabama out of the playoffs quite yet.

Worst case for the SEC would be UGA beating LSU in the SEC Championship.  Then they might only get one team in.  That's where a one-loss OK gets into the playoff.

Clemson didn't just lose at home coming off a bye week

Why does Alabama get a pass for not beating a team with a pulse???
