Clemson didn't just lose at home coming off a bye week

Clemson hasn’t played anyone that could sniff LSU jock strap. LSU is the best team in the country IMO. If you’re going to hold Bamas schedule against them, you best have the same energy for Clemson who will literally play 0 good teams this season.

Why does Alabama get a pass for not beating a team with a pulse???

Who’s giving them a pass? It’s just a reality. If Bama beats Auburn on the road, that’s a very good win. If their only loss is to arguably the best team in the country they have a pretty good argument for the playoffs.

And when Clemson drops one, I'll be happy to knock them out of contention. Clemson was clearly the lowest rated of the non-Gopher unbeatens because of their schedule.

In the meantime, Alabama can go sit on the bench with the rest of the teams with 1 loss and 0 impressive wins

It's a ******* 4 loss team at that point. When did a 4 loss team become a very good win?

Assuming Minnesota wins out and then losses to Ohio State in the conference championship game, are you going to be riding for Minnesota over Alabama? With a more impressive loss and two/three more impressive wins?

Yes, Minnesota would have a more impressive resume. Absolutely.

People are. Why do you think we were ranked 5th? And it’s well known if Clemson loses we are done due to the weak schedule.

Which to many people in this thread seems entirely irrelevant because "We want the 4 best teams, and Alabama is among the 4 best teams."

Like Alabama's resume is irrelevant to some.

Which is also a fair take tbh. Some people think the best 4 resumes should go, some people think the best 4 teams should go. It’s really a mix of both and the committee will certainly take into account that Tua had one leg and LSU is a great team. Someone will be sad at the announcement, per usual.

It's not fair to take teams based on the eye test when we've played 12 games of football to determine who's best. For all the talk about Clemson's schedule, it's arguably tougher than Alabama's when you remove the LSU game.

Their SEC schedule is absurdly terrible:

South Carolina

Ole Miss

Aggie

Tennessee

Arkansas

Mississippi State

Auburn

That's the conference schedule. What a bunch of schmucks.

It's going to be especially confusing when Clemson will end with wins over Alabama's 2nd and 3rd most impressive wins assuming everyone holds serve.

How did you feel about 2015-2016 OSU being left out in favor of Oklahoma?

There’s no point in trying to be civil in debates and conversations when discussing the playoffs. People will just conveniently forget a stance they had 2-3 years prior. They just want certain teams in and certain teams left out depending on prestige and if they hate / like that team on a personal level.

Auburn is a good team with a brutal schedule. That win alone would trump anything Clemson had.

I don’t recall where I stood honestly. Looking back in hindsight that seems like a super tough call, I’m not sure how Oklahoma made it over OSU while losing to them though lol
