The Bills and Steelers arguably have the best Defenses in the AFC. In fact, the only team you could argue as superior would be the Patriots. If the Steelers or Bills don't stand a chance it's because of their offenses not being able to put up 20, not because the Chiefs and Texans have high powered offenses. Hell, for all we know the Titans sweep the Texans.

All credit in the world to Mike Tomlin this year. Him or McD are COTY 1000%

Itll go to John Harbaugh you watch. A guy with a loaded roster and weakened division that has faced basically 0 adversity this season. There isnt, imo, a less deserving candidate out there, okay, maybe Freddie Kitchens is less deserving.

Lamar Jackson, a QB, will win the MVP for his rushing stats....smh

I just trust Watson and Mahomes to put up more points then Allen and whoever is the Steelers QB. Not to mention how hard it is playing the Chiefs in arrowhead.

You sound extra salty.

John Harbaugh took an entire offense, overhauled it with a QB nobody thought could throw and now he's the leading MVP candidate and we have a historic offense. Is that not a reflection of coaching? The Ravens have dominated 4th down this year and used an analytical approach in our offensive success. Is that not a reflection of coaching?

If you want to compare Harbaugh with Sean McDermott, what argument does McDermott have? He also has a loaded defense with the easiest SOS in the entire NFL and hasn't faced adversity. Why should he get the award over Harbaugh?

And just FYI, if I was handing out the award, it would go to Kyle Shanahan, not Harbaugh. 49ers have had much more injury problems than the Ravens and they haven't skipped a beat as a team.

No, he'll win MVP because he's the best player in the NFL this year, and he happens to be dominating in the air and on the ground. He also leads the NFL in TD passes. But...you know..."he's just a running back" and all of that.

Unlike the NFC the AFC wildcards stand little chance against the high powered offenses of the Chiefs and Texans.

We already beat Kansas City and since Tannehill took over, we are averaging just as many points per game as they are. Reid is also like 1-7 against us in his career.

We'll see how we stack up against Houston in the the weeks to come. As things stand now, we're that traditional wild card team that's heating up as the year is closing out. Of all the wild card teams in contention I'd say we're the one nobody wants to play.

Honestly, Harbaugh deserves Coach of the year as the tiebreaker among other deserving candidates for incorporating win probability to the extent that he does.   The sooner coaches get out of the dark ages, the better.   And before ppl say it's so simple he doesn't deserve the credit - he's literally blazing the trail about using it on his own end of the field even in the 1H, when CW says you don't do it.   That kind of change is revolutionary in the play-it-safe NFL.  Tip my cap.

Frankly, his brother could use some lessons there (down 26, and you kick a FG on 4th and 6?  Come on Jim....)

And to further this, how often have we watched other coaches (COUGHjasongarrettCOUGH) fail to use analytics and end up losing as a result of it? Harbaugh is not only blazing the trail this year with his usage of analytics and win probabilities, but he's also revolutionizing the NFL with the way he's molded and transformed this entire team in one offseason from a middling team with Joe Flacco to the NFL's most exciting team with an offense that is seemingly unstoppable and Lamar Jackson.

That deserves ALL of the praise you can get.

Major props to him for sure. Though I will be curious to see what the offense will look like when Greg Roman gets poached.

It won't look the same at all. But this is assuming:

  • Roman wants to be a HC
  • Ravens let him get poached

He's already essentially getting paid as a HC here (we promoted him this past offseason) and he has full control over this vision. I really hope we don't let him leave.

Seemingly unstoppable but got beat by Pittsburgh if not for a bogus Roughing call in a game where Jackson looked pretty mediocre.

This is great and all but I don’t see you guys making the playoffs. Also let’s be real that was a fluke win. They will spilt with the Texans going 9-7. If only they would have started Tannahill sooner.

That's an odd way of saying you lost to the Ravens...And yes, seemingly unstoppable, as evidenced by the fact that our offense is on pace AND setting numerous NFL records.
