I never liked anything about KISS's entire shtick. The get up, the music....any of it.
Pure Teen Pop Magazine stuff IMO.

I can get behind Detroit Rock City, and a couple of other songs, but for the most part I think they are awful.  I heard one not too long ago that was really good, I'll try to find it.  They aren't all bad, just mostly.

Is Detroit Rock City a KISS song? It stinks and I've never heard it LOL

Reggae music is only good live, and on a beach or boat.

So wrong.

Listen to Pete Tosh doing Johnny B. Goode      https://youtu.be/AjGLMcrWrS8

or UB40 (with a white singer for those that object to that) doing an excellent reggae slow groove 'Red Red Wine'   https://youtu.be/zXt56MB-3vc

or Harry J. & the Allstars with 'Liquidator'  https://youtu.be/OTn01jjEFfY

I can imagine strolling down the street with my footsteps in time to the beat (and if you find your footsteps have become in synch with the track, you know it's a good one).

Just want to throw out that while I am a millennial, I like older music a lot, so my Beatles disdain isn't universal for music of the era.

My grandpa was a big Neil Diamond and Buddy Holly fan so I know just about everything they do and enjoy it.

Dad was a teen of the 80s so I also grew up on Journey, Van Halen, Motley Crue, Rush, ACDC, Metallica, Styx, REO, etc and still jam their songs regularly.

Just can't stand the Beatles. Also seen Rod Stewart and Bob Dylan mentioned in here, pretty similar for me, no thanks. Elton John and Billy Joel I'll pass on too.

And here I thought that I was the only one who hated Rush.  Nice to know I'm not alone!

Even their "one" hit song...when it comes on, I turn the station.

As far as bad singers....I want to name one singer and one song.  Eddie Veder, Yellow Ledbedder.  WFT?

...and now that I typed it, why can't I get it out of my brain?  I keep singing it in my head despite only really knowing 2-3 words in that entire thing.  "porch, letter, sat".  And that's about it.  Yet my brain thinks it knows the words.  Crazy.

Like I said, give me a cocktail and a beach and I will be all about that.  But sitting in my office on a Tuesday afternoon, waiting for the clock to tick out? No way!

Other bands that stink:

Pearl Jam, Maroon 5, Journey, Radiohead, Type O Negative, Five Finger Death Punch, Avenged Sevenfold, The Ramones... there's more but that was off the top of my head.

Nobody has mentioned the worst group of all time though.  And I mean guys who actually sold records.

I'm your dad's age and I grew up listening to the exact same bands.  Now I'm kinda weirded out knowing your age.

Waking the Fallen was legit a great album.  Since then, Avenged has had okay songs, some terrible songs, maybe one great one.  I liked Hail to the King and Acid Rain a lot.  Then they released The Stage and to me got back on the level of Waking the Fallen.  I've listened to them their whole career hoping they'd get back to as good as they were on Waking the Fallen.

The rest are crap, except Journey's three good songs.
