TitanLegend Posted July 18, 2017 Author Share Posted July 18, 2017 Kline being an average-ish guard was probably his downfall. Just not much interest there. This forum seems to have developed some kind of a hate boner for Williamson, which is kind of funny considering he's the best MLB this team has ever had(speaking Titans/99 and onward only). Has consistently been one of if not the best ILB against the run ever since he came in to the league, but because he has issues in coverage everyone on this forum is in some kind of hurry to replace him. titans0021 Posted July 18, 2017 Share Posted July 18, 2017 It probably has a lot to do with who he is paired with. Not that Woodyard is terrible, but the years of getting picked apart by backs and tight ends on short to intermediate routes down the middle has grown pretty painful. We'd probably appreciate Williamson more if he was playing next to more of a splash linebacker and could be asked to just take on the thumper role where he has thrived throughout his career. He's a FA after this year, so I'm pretty interested in seeing how this plays out assuming he's a similar player in 2017 as he has been throughout his career.
