49ersfan
Current standings Current playoff standings 1. 49ers (8-1) 2. Packers (8-2) 3. Saints (7-2) 4. Cowboys (5-4) 5. Seahawks (8-2) 6. Vikings (7-3) In the hunt: Panthers (5-4), Rams (5-4), Eagles (5-4) Uphill battle to make the playoffs: Bears (4-5) Count them out of it: Lions (3-5-1), Cardinals (3-6-1), Bucs (3-6), Falcons (2-7), Giants (2-8), Redskins (1-8) It'll be tough for any of the 5 win teams to catch up with any of the 7 or 8 win teams for the wildcard or division, but stranger things have happened before. NFC very top heavy, you'll probably need a minimum of 10 wins to make it this year. Also will be interesting to see who wins the NFCW, SF or SEA. Loser of that race likely gets a WC spot. Eagles & Cowboys seem to be competing for the NFCE. This could go down to the wire, as it seems to every year. In the end, i think it'll be the same 6 teams making it, maybe swap DAL for PHI in the NFCE. Seeding likely will change a bit, but its tough to make up at least 2 wins in 7 games left
I <3 Faulk
At this point I think the Rams have to run the table. I'm not sure if 11-5 gets you the 6 seed this year. I think the 6 that are in now are probably the same 6 that make it. Seeds might change, but those look like the teams in the NFC this year. Danger
Eagles have an easier schedule down the stretch than Dallas. If they win against Dallas in December and one of these next two (either New England or Seattle, both at home) then they're pretty much a shoe in.
dtait93
49ers, Packers, Saints, Seahawks, Vikings will all make it in, no idea the seeding though. Eagles and Cowboys will battle for the 4 seed with the winner probably finishing at 9-7.
Blackstar12
Same 6 teams make it in.

The only question is who wins the NFC East between the Eagles and Cowboys, the other is outside looking in. And then the Packers/Vikings and 49ers/Seahawks are competing for the divisional title, while the other is a Wild Card.
KOTN-93
1) Green Bay, 13-3 2) New Orleans, 13-3 3) Seattle, 12-4 4) Philadelphia, 9-7 5) Minnesota, 12-4 6) San Fransisco, 11-

It's a combination of Green Bay being overstated (as usual) and Purple People Eaters being a little understated (as usual)

People keep parroting this like its some sort of crazy drastic difference between us: http://www.tankathon.com/nfl/remaining_schedule_strength We are favored in most of those games. Split the Sticks
What it says, @Shanedorf, is that Jerry's Boys are a little over stated this year. AGAIN. [yawn] They do have enough talent to win, IMO, but man, - can you imagine the horror of losing to the new York bleeping JETS? Ho-LEE. I think Garret is to blame, mostly

The only thing the oddsmakers take into consideration is how people bet the game. Now, the bettors can take those losses into consideration but whatever they decide is how the line gets set. The Vikes have a pretty favorable schedule and should win 10-11 at a minimum, that’s probably good enough for the 6th seed, upside being the 2nd seed if they can win the division and New Orleans slides. East will be an interesting battle, I think the Eagles take the division.
