Maybe some people are unhuman.

Who knows. Typically, its definitely a season ender. Malcolm Smith tore his in preseason and was out for the season. I just can't see it happening. But weird things have certainly happened. Yeah, Kwon being 100% in the preseason was shocking to me, so who knows
y2lamanaki
If Kwon can pull it off, I'd gladly be wrong.
y2lamanaki
"Alexander was establishing himself as the leader of San Francisco's defense before tearing a pectoral in the 49ers' Week 9 win over the Cardinals. Although he might have said he was coming back this season (according to the note on Bourne's IG Story), that cannot happen, as Alexander was placed on season-ending injured reserve shortly after suffering the injury." https://www.nbcsports.com/bayarea/49ers/watch-49ers-kwon-alexander-intercept-pass-during-rehab-surgery?amp&__twitter_impression=true

That's what I thought as well, but I am finding a lot of conflicting information. Matt Barrows shot down the possibility in the comments section of his latest article, though not because of IR rules, but because it's an "8-month injury." I don't think you have to put a designation on season ending IR or short-term IR. I think the writer who had the quote you posted is wrong. But either way, HIGHLY doubtful Alexander returns this season. Huge risk bringing him back after a few months when that injury is minimum a six month recovery.

Let's all point and laugh at him for his foolishness I can't believe that Trent Taylor broke his foot in August but hasn't been able to come back. It's been 4 months

nayad
JJ Watt is being talked about as coming back from injury too and he had his I think just 1 week before Kwon. I wouldnt count him out, maybe there have been improvements on recovery time from a torn pec.
N4L
I think the deadline for flexing week 17 is today at 12pm PST. So we should get some sort of update about our game I'm not sure if getting flexed is good/bad/irrelevant Was trying to find the post where someone said we hadn't won in Seattle since 2011... How many of those starts came with Garoppolo?

How many of those starts came with Garoppolo? It's definitely getting flexed. Winner takes #1 seed and division title. They flexed the Colts vs Titans last year because the division was on the line. Our week 17 game this year has bigger stakes.
J-ALL-DAY
Hopefully it isn't flexed to be honest. Seahawks are insanely good in prime time games, especially at home.
