The $195M number kind of seems like too much but if it is true, then that is a complete game changer. We went from potentially expecting 175M to 195M.

Trent is a must re-sign or else this OL legit may be the worst in the league next year.

Its still somewhere around 20 mil less than expected before Corona hit. The 175m number was used by most because it was agreed that it would be the absolute lowest it would go but it always was unlikely it would actually be the one because it would put almost half the league in a position where even signing their draft picks would be almost impossible.

Philip Rivers would like to have a word...

Antonio Cromartie may be more impressive. He has like 14 kids with 8 different women lol.

"I would just say that I absolutely, absolutely loved my time here with the Niners," Juszczyk said on the Murph & Mac show. "It's been absolutely phenomenal. I really would love to continue [my career] here, but my economics degree would tell me that it would be smart to weigh my options, and see what's out there, and see what kind of opportunities I do have for my family, and that sort of thing."

Matty Ice probably spoiled him in ATL and now he realizes how important it is to have a top guy under center for the entire team to succeed. I really hope we make Zach Wilson happen somehow. I think he'd fit Shanny's offense to a T.

Yeah, he saw it first hand in the SB and last week vs Josh Allen.  At least he's learning...

It would be nice. I am also intrigued by Trey Lance.

However, I think Wilson is out of reach for us.

Trey Lance, here we come :D:D

Honestly though, is there any difference? I would need to see him saying something contradictory to this, but it should be noted that he really has never had a truly physically gifted QB outside of maybe Matt Ryan. RG3 perhaps, though that went south. But guys like Schaub, Hoyer, Jimmy, Cousins...those are very similar QBs to one another.

I consistently find myself fantasizing about what Shanny could do with an elite QB. A guy who can hit all spots of the field but also improvise. I think the biggest thing Shanny has to do is let go a little bit. Seems like anyone who bucks his structure gives him an aneurism. I guess Kittle had some story where he kept running the option route HE wanted to run in practice and he kept getting yelled at for it in practice, then did it again in a game and scored and he STILL got yelled at for it. Hysterical.

Honestly if Kittle was a rookie he should be getting yelled at if he ran the wrong route based on what was taught. You can be happy the play resulted in a TD and still have done the wrond thing.

Its the same thing with the Kinlaw pick 6. Listen to what Salah said about it and that basically Kinlaw didn't do his job at that play but it resulted in a great play and how a guy like Sherman(basically did the same with his INT that game) has earned the right to freelance a bit more based on what he has shown over the years and the status he has.

Well the story john was referencing was supposedly an option route, which like - its supposed to be the option of the guy running the route lol

I didnt see what saleh said about the kinlaw pick. Good stuff. Kinlaw seems to have incredible instincts. Baldy pointed it out early in the year about how he has recognized different blocks and then adjusted and made a disruptive play. He has the potential to be a very special player.

He has been playing too upright for me. He comes out of his stance and stands straight up. That is something that can be fixed with time, and once he plays with better leverage consistently it will unlock a lot for him. I also think he has hit a little bit of a rookie wall with regards to his motor. I think he is a little worn down.

Yeah i got that but for an option round you have keys to read on which option too pick when running it. Those get taught and when you read it wrong and still make a great play from a coaching standpoint i get not being happy with the way he ran it. Doesn't mean you are not happy with the end result but its still not what a guy was supposed to do.

Yeah Saleh said too about Kinlaw seeming to have good instincts and being in the right spots a lot of the time but that for now he hasn't earned the right and respect to freelance and should play in his role at that moment.

John Lynch basically said the same thing btw: https://www.nbcsports.com/bayarea/49ers/49ers-gm-john-lynch-quips-javon-kinlaws-pick-six-product-fatigue

When you're 6'7, getting low is a learning process. Buckner, AA and Calais all struggled with this early in their career. The Advantage is when you can get low like that, combined with good strength and a wing span, you can absolutely get to the point of tossing dudes when exploding out. Seeing the aforementioned players learn to do that is absolutely lineman porn for me. Even Watt to some extent. Not guaranteed he ever gets it down, but he seems like a good player already, worth of replacing Buck. I wouldn't be surprised if he gets to that top 5 level. He's absolutely electric at times.
