N4L
I swear, the DE depth on this team will need to be addressed at some point. Melvin Ingram? Seems like he could be a decent fit here. Cant imagine he would be expensive. A rotational role seems like the best move for him at this point. Youd think being surrounded by the talent we have on our DL and staying fresh would help him put up stats to get a nice contract next year... and getting a nice comp pick for us the following year

The DE market is uncharacteristically saturated this time of the year. I’d love to see someone like Ingram or Vernon sign, but you know it’s going to be some obscure guy who floated between PS and 53 roster for like 3 years and has like 1 career sack.

Pretty sure Damontre Moore is a FA. He actually played decent for us in his stints on the team.

But we're banking on our deep and talented DTs to make life easier on the strong side DEs and be the catalyst for creating pressure, alongside Bosa imo. So after Ebukaum, and think they're looking for a Hyder-like emergence from either Key, Barrett or Willis. I wouldn't mind another capable starter with a decent resume to be throw into the mix at some point but its not something I'm clamoring for right now. They're hoping for either an emergence or a resurgence. Spoiler Dee Ford Either way, that's a lot of hoping for a superbowl contending roster. Or maybe they really really believe in Ebukam. Between he and Armstead, we should get decent production. And if we can sprinkle in some Dee at D-end on the D, then we could be pretty good. But that's a lot of ifs. In an ideal world, AA would spend more than half his snaps inside, rather than on the edge.

And I won't acknowledge his presence on this team until I see him actually on the field and playing. Though I wasn't a big fan of Key as a prospect, he flashed enough as a Raider to have me believe he can be a decent 3rd rusher.

Everything coming out of OTAs has me a little optimistic regarding Dee (might be a mistake), and our views on Key are pretty much polar opposites lol; I was a huge fan of his coming out of LSU based off his sophomore season and have been a little let down with his NFL production.

The league gave the 49ers a little more leeway this year with the throwback restrictions since the team is celebrating it's 75th anniversary. N4L
I dont like the white pants with the red jerseys. I like the red jerseys simply because of the black outline around the numbers. I have been asking for this for YEARS. These jerseys should be our full time jerseys with the gold pants.
Chrissooner49er
I do not care for alternate helmets at all...regarding the rumored red helmets. No thank you. The white pants always seemed kind of off to me. Tan or gold pants are best, IMO.
TecmoSuperJoe
Wouldn't mind silver alternate helmets which would just be a swap of the gold. Heard that might be a thing, but not sure if it's confirmed. Would be nice to honor teams from the 1950's not just with the uniforms, but with the helmet too. A red helmet sounds like a bad idea. The 75th anniversary patch, which looks like the 75th NFL anniversary patch in 1994 with the diamond design was a nice touch. No matter which jersey has that patch it's a small reminder the 49ers won the Super Bowl that season. 49ersfan
https://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2021/07/07/kyle-shanahan-was-upset-when-rams-landed-matthew-stafford/ Quote That was frustrating,” Shanahan said. “Everyone was telling me it was a possibility, and Stafford is the man. I studied him hard coming out of college, and we played against him so we know how good he is.” It was already known that the 49ers were one of several teams that showed interest in trading for Stafford, but Shanahan hadn’t previously made clear how much he wanted Stafford, and how disappointed he was when the Rams made a deal with the Lions first. Shanahan said the 49ers had been in touch with Stafford’s agent, Tom Condon, but didn’t realize that the Rams were so close to getting a deal done. Shanahan said that on the night the Rams and Lions agreed to their deal, someone in the know called him and told him, “If you want Stafford you need to get a hold of him right now,” and then only minutes later the news broke that the deal was done. McVay said he was as surprised as Shanahan was at how quickly the Rams and Lions were able to make the agreement, which sent Stafford to the Rams for Jared Goff, two first-round picks and a third-round pick. “If it makes you feel any better, it came together faster than I thought, too, Kyle,” McVay told Shanahan.
