He'll get the season at most, apologize in a lameduck press conference, and be back next year where it'll be a footnote after every sack he gets. You really put that as your avy lol.

RaidersAreOne
This legitimately took him out of any conversation for pro bowl, all-pro, DPOY, etc. This is what Myles Garrett will be forever known for.

Howler
That was a gladiator pit type move. I give him credit for creativity..

Lilseb93
He should definitely get at least a year suspension. He's lucky (and it's very fortunate for Mason) it wasn't worse. If this wasn't on the football field he'd probably be in jail right now. That helmet was a weapon. One perfect angle to the head could have killed Mason. They probably won't ban him, but they need to make an example out of him. Edited November 15, 2019 by Lilseb93

The ears of an NFL helmet which is what Garrett got him with are pretty floppy. Obviously it's a massive difference in strength, but we had a kid on my highschool team get hit with a helmet on something similar to this. A football helmet is not a good weapon. showtime
It's insane that he actually took the guys helmet off and hit him with it. He could have seriously injured someone tonight. He should be gone for the rest of the season, at the minimum.

There are like 20 great pass rushers in the NFL and they're really not marketable players. They wouldn't be hurt by losing Garrett at all.

I think the "suspended the season" talk everyone is saying is something that will sound extreme in the following days. 4 games max Edit: to clarify, I mean extreme in the way NFL gives out punishments for these things. Haynesworth and Gronk didn't go to jail for similarly offensive actions. Come on.

He'll be doing community outreach for as long as he's an active player, but he'll serve no jail time.
BleedTheClock
Mason Rudolph has a horseshoe up his #@!. Myles just took it out...and BEAT HIM OVER THE HEAD WITH IT!!!! WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! But actually, Garrett's reaction was crazy overkill to Rudolph's hostility. Whatever suspension they dole out will be deserved unfortunately.
