Is there a truly great team this year?

Just curious what you guys think.

Yes, currently the Patriots are arguably "truly great".

Before all of the injuries, the Niners were too. Still can be come playoffs if they heal up in time and don't suffer any other significant new losses.

Lastly, the Ravens are starting to establish themselves as truly great after the Marcus Peters trade and with their young offense acclimating well.

They got a call wrong for sure, but getting more calls wrong isn't the answer.

While I agree, getting the calls wrong that favor one team isn't the answer either. Two big wrong calls this game, one took away either a TD or the ball at the 1 yard line for Houston and the other right there on the pick gave Baltimore a TD. Baltimore clearly looks like the better team today, but it might actually be a game if the missed calls weren't going all one way.

I reckon if the Ravens win out, and win the superbowl - they should go down as a great team, because they've kind of also brought their own stuff to it. Would be the first time (either ever or since Young?) that a QB like Jackson won it.

Oh no doubt. Ravens have the type of team that can do well in cold weather/post season football too.

It just feels like a pretty even year among the better teams in the conferences.

If they go 14-2 and win 3 playoff games by 10+ then sure, they could be in the conversation.

Its November 17th though so lets play it out first.

Young was always dangerous when running but he also led the league in passer rating from 91-94.

Jackson is not a QB like Steve Young just yet.

That works in reverse, too. Young was never the QB that Jackson is **currently**
