Can we name every team's best player ever?

The Raiders have so many better candidates than Charles Woodson lol.

Stabler, Allen, Tim Brown, Willie Brown, Upshaw, Long, Wisniewski, Biletnekoff, Mad Bomber, Otto, Shell

Woodson was hurt or old for half his time with Raiders and had his best years with the Packers. I get that he’s a beloved HOFer, but he benefits from being one of the few respectable players from this franchise since 2002.

Depends on what you call best.

Staubach is arguably our best. But I would like to add another and that's Larry Allen who was arguably the most dominant lineman of all time.

How about Herschel Walker?  He was arguably a player who helped your franchise more than anyone.  :$

Whenever I think of the Raiders the two players that come instantly to mind are Ken Stabler and Fred Biletnikoff.  On the defensive side of the ball, it's definitely Lyle Alzado.  I don't know if he was the best player, but to this outsider, he absolutely personified what it meant to be an Oakland Raider - mean and nasty.

I'll try to list the answer, then a runner up, since a lot are so close:

Arizona Cardinals-Larry Fitzgerald then Aeneas Williams

Atlanta Falcons-Deion Sanders then Michael Vick

Baltimore Ravens-Ray Lewis then Jonathan Ogden (man I wanna put Ed Reed on here so bad though)

Buffalo Bills-Bruce Smith then OJ Simpson

Carolina Panthers-Julius Peppers then Steve Smith

Chicago Bears-Walter Payton then D*ck Butkus

Cincinnati Bengals-Anthony Munoz then Chad Johnson

Cleveland Browns-Jim Brown then Otto Graham

Dallas Cowboys-Larry Allen then Roger Staubach (sorry to Bob Lilly)

Denver Broncos-Champ Bailey then Shannon Sharpe

Detroit Lions-Barry Sanders then Night Train Lane (I think NTL was the best CB to ever play so this was tough)

Green Bay Packers-Don Hutson then Forrest Gregg

Houston Texans-JJ Watt then Andre Johnson

Indianapolis Colts-Peyton Manning then Johnny Unitas

Jacksonville Jaguars-Tony Boselli then Fred Taylor

Kansas City Chiefs-Tony Gonzalez then Bobby Bell

LA Chargers-Junior Seau then Ladanian Tomlinson (hurts me not to put Kellen Winslow here)

LA Rams Deacon Jones then Eric Dickerson

Miami Dolphins-Dan Marino then Larry Little

Minnesota Vikings-Randy Moss then Alan Page (an argument could be made for either of these two guys to be number 1)

New England Patriots-Tom Brady then John Hannah

New Orleans Saints-Drew Brees then Willie Roaf

New York Giants-Lawrence Taylor then Emlen Tunnell (sorry Mel Hein)

New York Jets-Darrelle Revis then Curtis Martin

Oakland Raiders-Gene Upshaw then Willie Brown

Philadelphia Eagles-Reggie White then Chuck Bednarik

Pittsburgh Steelers-Joe Greene then Rod Woodson

San Francisco 49ers-Jerry Rice then Joe Montana

Seattle Seahawks-Walter Jones then Steve Largent

Tampa Bay Buccaneers-Derrick Brooks then Warren Sapp

Tennessee Titans-Bruce Matthews then Earl Campbell

Washington Redskins-Ken Houston then Sammy Baugh (wish I could put Houston on the Titans/Oilers but he played longer for the Redskins)

This was actually pretty fun reminiscing like this

You my friend are crazy. It's LT pretty easily.

I wouldn't argue with someone who thought Tomlinson was their best, but I think you're underrating Lance Alworth. He was on my top ten WRs of all time list, and while I haven't thought about it for awhile, he probably still is, I'll say at #7.

Allen was criminally underrated throught his career.

He was a 6 time All-Pro and made the HoF in his 2nd yr eligible (this is a big deal because OGs are right there with S as positions that the HoF doesn't value). I saw pre-draft write-ups on him and he was often referred to as the best G if not OL in the game.

I think he was properly rated through his career.
