The Season - an outlook after week 1

The rest of our division is not living up to preseason hype, which bodes well.

As you say, Dal, NYG, NYJ, Mia are all very winnable. Buffalo, not so much. Thew other five games are against division, including three of the last four. Finishing 8-2 or 7-3 is possible. The record of 14-2 teams making the Super Bowl is encouraging.

First, they need to beat Pittsburgh at home. It's doable. Do it.

We all knew we would not go undefeated. That they lost while holding their opponent under 20 points says some interesting things. Still, we almost made it through the toughest part of the schedule without losing, even with the medical bill.

Next up we get some more division play, which was expected to be tougher than it has shown so far. On top of that, it's a short week. Let's look at things.

  • Oakland has lost four straight after starting 2-0
  • They just lost to the Chargers, who the Chiefs beat in week 2
  • Carr has shown a tendency to throw interceptions under pressure
  • The Chiefs can rush the passer
  • The Raiders' OL has not been the fortress many expected
  • Marshawn Lynch has not been Beast Mode
  • Reid seems to have the Raiders number

This game is doable, even on a short week. Do it.
