Happy vs Disappointed

Who are some of the guys you were happy with during this past game and who maybe let you down a little bit?

Looks like Preston Smith showed up a little bit, can't be mad at Ryan Kerrigan either, that dude kills us. Just wondering what you guys thought?

I thought both Cb's looked solid!!! Honestly the defense looked good minus starting with 3 short fields because the offense. Brown and Foster worked well together and seemed to attack the ball because our DL kept the OL off them

The entire offense (minus Grant and Thompson) let us down. Special Teams also let us down.

The defense was better than I expected.

Yea Pryor had at least 1 key drop in the game.

I'll say that the coaches also let us down. We missed McVay in the worst way. Sean had said that in the past 2 years, he had anticipated Schwartz' defensive calls and was able to counter them with his play calling. I think there's a lot of truth to that given the past 5 games (before yesterday).

Schwartz called a much different defensive game than Eagles fans are used to though. He dialed up blitzes like he never has before.

edit: and your point only applies to last season, when Schwartz started.

Noted. Thanks. I had forgotten when he started

I don't really know what there is to be happy about anymore? We aren't very good and this is year 4 of our build. Scherff was a waste of a top 5 pick, Doctson is a disaster, Kirk sucks again, we can't run the ball, our headcoach is lost and Dan is still the owner.

This is the most disappointing data point of all.

Let's just map out some of the reasons why we are where we are:

-It all started with that fifth pick in Scots first year. A potential gamechanging defender is on the board. Almost every other team would've rushed to the podium with Williams name on the card, instead the Redskins take a LT who wasn't good enough to play RT so they had to move him to guard.

-Signing Lauvao. I don't care what anyone says, this has been an utter disaster since day one. Other teams would've immediately realized their mistake and not only replaced him on the roster but also cut him. He's terrible and they're forcing him into the lineup due to his pay.

-Matt Jones tenure. We let a perennial 1K yard back leave at the age of 27 because our genius headcoach decided we didn't need him due to this bum. Probably the worst football player I've ever seen.

-Bruce Allen. He's horrible in every way imaginable. Blocking the team from having an actual GM.

These are just some of them. There are so many more.

100 man! Also, passing on Stephon Tuitt in 2014. Then, passing on better defensive prospects that Preston Smith who were available in round 2 like NT Eddie Goldman & ILBs Kendricks & McKinney who are both stars.

Not trading up for Dalvin Cook is going to be another one. We needed him on this team so badly and they took Rob Kelley's clone instead.

I'm definitely the only person who's actually happy to just see sound tackling in the run game and good CB coverage and a ton of QB pressures. As I wrote in a article. I thought our defense was actually very impactful definitely good enough for a win!!! But Wentz made some 24 million a year type plays while also looking like the 6 year vet while the 6 year vet was still making his same year two costly mistakes!!!!

I was all over the Dalvin cool train especially when he fell to the second!!! He and Landon Collins were just too much value to not move up for because both were exactly the type of player we needed at their position on this team. When the value and scheme fit is that good you move up!!!!
