Hungary

Offense:

IC lost half it’s starting defensiveline to suspensions this week with Ogunjobi and Garrett hitting the pine. To take advantage of this moment we are going to go for pounding the rock this week. We are going to sport a 2 TE offense for additional blockers with Olsen and Hockenson/Doyle. We want to get Fournette 25-30 carries in this game. Peterson will get some touches as well. This will allow us to set up the play action to fire down field to catch the safeties that will inevitably scoot up sleeping.

Additionally, we will be utilizing our TEs to read the defense. From time to time we will move either Olsen or Hock/Doyle out wide to read man versus zone coverage. This also allows us to move a LBer out of position when in man which will make them more susceptible to the run. The TEs and RBs will run short routes in this set on passing downs after the receivers clear out and it will give Goff some underneath routes to hit in coverage against a LBing group that lacks core coverage players.

We will also utilize 3 and 4 wide looks sporadically throughout the game. In these formations we will use a lot of draws as the boxes will be cleared out. We will also take advantage of IC’s lack of depth at CB in these situations while also trying to use crossing routes, quick slants and hooks to avoid IC’s safety play.

TY is on a snap count this week with a maximum of 30 snaps. We will use his speed where able and when he subs out Fitz will come into replace. In three wide sets when TY is out look for Slayton and in 4 wide Sanu will help as well.

With a run focused game with play action on the back end we hope to limit Goff's stress levels this week.

Defense:

Overall, IC is a pretty balanced team. At times they like to go with 4 wide looks in the passing game. At others he wants to play smash mouth football with Chubb. This week focus is to stop the run force Jones to try to win it through the air.

To do this we bring in our meat wall defenders in Williams and Woods to shore up the middle of the defensive line. Graham will man against their RT while Addison will take the LT. The meatwall should contain the inside rush. If they got 2 TE or TE/FB, Greenlaw will be the third LB on the field with McMillan and Kuechly to shore up the run. Smith will also be playing in the box this week being an 8th man to solidfy the defense against the run.

Coverage wise, this would leave Hayward Jr. and Griffin on an island with Baker playing over the top. Kuechly would have RB. Smith would have the starting TE (Cook) while McMillan/Greenlaw would split duties on the FB/TE in the scenario. The other would blitz.

In three wide, Greenlaw would run off for Williams. In Four wide, McMillan would run off for Moseley. If they go 5 wide Smith would come in unless it is a RB.

We will occasionally run some cover two and cover three blitzes to keep the offense honest.

Ivory Coast

Offense
Primary Formation: 2 Wide "21" Personnel
- We are going to come out with 2 wide receivers, a tight end, and two backs as our primary formation.

Running Game Focus- Power running game. We will give Chubb at least 25 carries this game. We want to try and control the clock, and limit how much time the Hungary offense has the ball. Our goal is to wear down the defense, so a lot of smash mouth up the middle behind Anthony Sherman.

Passing Game Focus- Take what the defense gives us. We will leverage short and intermediate passing game in this matchup, with the focus being to maintain steady drives and burn the clock. We'll sprinkle a few deep shots if the opportunity presents itself, out of play action, but overall we want to not take unnecessary risks. Ekeler will get several looks out of the backfield as well.

X-Factor on Offense: Nick Chubb- Our offense will be powered by Nick Chubb this game.

Defense
Defensive Formation: 4-3 Defense
- We will start the game in a standard 4-3 alignment. When shifting to Nickel and Dime, Okereke and White will come off for Carr and Cockrell.

Secondary Coverage: Press Man Cover 2- We're going to have our corners play man and press most of the game. We don't want to give their receivers any free releases. Over the top we'll play cover 2 to prevent anything deep in case the press fails.

Defensive Box- Defensive line interior will be playing two gaps to prevent the run. Edges are given permission to collapse the pocket. We'll move Khalil Mack around on both sides to see where he has more effectiveness. On occasion we'll send a linebacker blitz to generate more pressure.

X-Factor on Defense: Khalil Mack- With Myles Garrett out, it's time for Mack to step up as the Alpha and lead this defense.

Looks like like Hungary isn't using his corners again.  That's gonna hurt.  He's left Heyward and griffin on an island.  Hopefully it's a tropical one for their sakes

It is. Warm and sunny.

I would like to unvote this game. I voted for IC because Hungary forgot their corners again. For a team pushing for the playoffs you can’t make that mistake. But they are in his gameplan so it may be unfair for me to vote against him but I can’t vote for him either on this principle.

To be fair he is playing a primary 2 wide offense and I have 3 depth corners on the lineup that can still lock down McLaurin and Samuel in Williams Moseley and Smith in what looks to be a run heavy game on both sides. But I do appreciate the reconsideration.
