vikingsrule Posted November 25, 2019 Share Posted November 25, 2019 I’d assume there are contracts in the XFL. Did Johnson not know that he could be blocked from joining the NFL? Can’t imagine there would be many fringe NFL players who’d want to join knowing they could be blocked. It’s not like the XFL pays well. but I get it from the XFLs standpoint. They won’t survive if they can’t get a few known QBs, then again I won’t be tuning in to watch the Josh Johnson’s of the world compete. Karnage84 Posted November 25, 2019 Share Posted November 25, 2019 It's not a good look for the XFL moving forward. That's exactly the reason why these guys are joining up to play in this league. It also tells me that the Lions (rightly so) are probably going to shut down Stafford and they were looking for a veteran guy to provide some sort of spark and not lose out the rest of the year.
