How many times were you warned yesterday to not talk about race here? The rules are pretty damn simple.

So just throw a potential valuable and reflective conversation out the window? I figured this was an NFL topic in an NFL discussion forum. We’ve seen this type of hate or disregard for accomplishments at certain quarterbacks for decades. It’s a discussion of context and relevance

The NFL as a league has a history of conservative attitudes and racist subtext. That definitely comes into play with blind hate of Lamar and saying things like he’s just a wide receiver. If you can’t see it you are giving yourself a lack of context some players have to operate in at the quarterback position. Look at the hate Cam Newton used to get for SMILING during games. People aren’t able to overlook their biases (here’s looking at you Polian) and it shows in the blind vitriol for Lamar that a lot of other quarterbacks don’t seem to be the target of.

He's about the win the MVP award....the highest regarded 'season award'. People have been gushing about him all season long. We DAREN'T say anything bad about him after week 6 or so. You are finding problems that don't exist. He deserves to be criticised for poor games, and that's what he gets - just like every other QB.

Tell me more about how everyone LOVES Brady and Rodgers because of their 'physical attribute'

Talking about Lamar in the context of an NFL fan base, a large portion that has historically sought to see black quarterbacks fail (Warren Moon could talk a lot about this topic), IS a discussion about football.

That's fine, but we don't talk about race here on this site. There are plenty of other sites you can take this discussion to - just not here.

Tks.

Their privilege isn’t that they are loved because of their skin colour, but it’s that it isn’t something that gives platform for hate against them. But again we’re no longer discussing this apparently so adios everyone, hope we can watch some good football today.

Uhhhhh no, long before that.

1st drive (0-0): 5/7 runs

2nd drive (0-7): 4/6 runs

3rd drive: (0-14): 1/3 runs

4th drive: (0-14): 5/11 runs

5th drive: (3-14): 1/13 runs (2 minute drill, end of half)

6th drive (6-14): 7/13 (opening 3rd quarter)

After this, things get whacky and the Ravens go pass-happy. Seemed mostly balanced until then.

Runs =/= giving the ball to your runningbacks.

Youre just trying to cause issues and make an issue where there is none.  Im pretty certain I know why, but I cant say.

If you cant handle Jackson being criticized, youre going to be boo-hooing and making these stupid claims his entire career.   QBs are always the most severely criticized players...maybe in all of sports.  Acting like its just black QBs is a freaking joke and shows your limited knowledge on the matter.  That, or youre just ignoring reality to make it about something it isnt...which is what I suspect you're doing.
