Week 1 Notes:

Going with Skelton for Week 1.

With Early Doucet out, L Stephens-Howling and TE Housler should get some looks in the slot. We'll see how that plays out with the Simulation.

Trying to split WIlliams and Wells carries. Putting Anthony Sherman at TE when Housler goes to the slot and we need a 3rd TE.

Final Score:
Cardinals 13
Panthers 7

Starting out the season with a hard fought win is really nice.

Ryan Williams almost managed 1.5 yards per carry, Beanie wells managed 3.4. He'll get the majority of the workload next week.

L Stephens-Howling caught the only TD of the game on a 6 yard pass.

Larry Fitzgerald caught 6 passes for 69 yards and Ryan Williams caught 5 for 65 as the 3rd down back, he'll keep those duties moving forward.

O'Brien Schofield had 1.5 sacks as the primary pass rusher off the bench, he also led the team in tackles. What a beast.

No defensive turnovers, but Patrick Peterson had a 39 yard punt return on special teams.

Week 2 (Cardinals 1-0 @ Redskins 1-0)

Redskins 31
Cardinals 16

Well, that wasn't good. Redskins put us away early with thee 2nd quarter TDs.

Skelton completed 46% of his passes for a meager 137 yards with 0 TDs and an INT to show for it.

Beanie Wells carried the ball 15 times for 40 yards and no scores. Nothing was happening offensively.

Offseason addition Moise Fokou racked up 13 tackles, 2 TFLs and a forced fumble that Desmond Bishop returned for a score. Clark Haggans had 3 TFLs and a sack.

Patrick Peterson returned an interception 55 yards but failed to find the endzone.

L Stephens Howling was busy as a kick returner, taking back 6 for 152 yards with a long of 39. CB Ellis Hobbs returned a punt 33 yards for a nice field position win.

Week 3 (1-1 @ 1-1 SEA)

Seattle 37
Arizona 17

Another blowout loss, Skelton looked even worse completing just 37% of his passes en route to two short touchdowns and a pick. Pryor gets the nod next week, I aint fuxing with no ultimate frisbee champ looking Skelton for too long. If I want 37% passes completed I'll convert a RB and run a wildcat thank you very much.

Ryan Williams got the full workload this week apparently. He carried the ball 13 times for 48 yards, but never found the endzone.

Larry went 96 yards on 7 catches, with a touchdown. Stephen-Howlings scored on a 14 yard catch and run. LSH is looking like a playmaker.

Late preseason addition Desmond Bishop had 2 TFLs from the MLB spot and Joey Porter had 1.5 sacks and a forced fumble that the offense covered up.

LSH had an 84 yard kick return as well as an average of 11.3 on 3 punt returns. Dude is a beast.

Week 4 (1-2 vs 2-1 Giants)

Giants 30
Cardinals 13

Another multi-possession loss.

Pryor got the start and was injured after just one pass... Derek Anderson played backup, completing 52% of his passes at 6.2 YPA. He had 1 TD and 1 pick while throwing for 254 yards. The veteran may have won the starting job if Pryor can't play next week.

Beanie Wells chugged along at 3 yards per tote on 15 carries. Meh.

Steve Breaston caught the teams only TD on a 33 yard pass from Derek Anderson.

Desmond Bishop had another big game. 3 TFLs and a pass defensed.

With 1 quarter of the season down I'll look at some stats...

Tony Romo and Mark Sanchez (lol) lead the league in passing yards at 1,272 and 1,221. Romo has 10 TDs and 0 INTS, looking like an MVP. Sanchez has 5 TDs and 0 INTs. Cam Newton has 1074 yards and 8 TDs with 0 INTs. Peyton sits at 990 9-0 and Brees is 1,014 10-2.

Arian Foster leads the league in rushing at 495 yards at 7.2 yard per carry. @ET80

Brandon Jacobs, Ronnie Brown and Peyton Hillis are the only other players with over 400 yards. They're carrying at 6.3, 5.0 and 5.2 respectively.

Mike Sim-Walker (418 yds), M. Colston (380 yds) and Derek Mason (330 yds) lead the league in reception. Colston has 7 TDs, MSW has 2 and Mason has 0.  Roddy White (367), Dustin Keller (346) and Mike Williams (344) round out the top 5 in yardage with Mike Williams tying M Colston for the TD lead.

Carolinas Charles Johnson and the Giants Justin Tuck lead the NFL in sacks with 7 each. Carlos Dulap and Trevor Scott (OAK) each have 6 and Demarcus Ware and Da'Quan Bowers each have 5.

L Fletcher leads the league with 6 TFLs, D Bishop and V Miller have 5 each. B Orakpo and S Fujita have 4 TFLs each.

St. Louis Rams CB Bradley Fletcher leads the league with 4 INTS. The only other player with more than 2 INTS is NYG CB Terrell Thomas with 3.

Rolando McClain, Cameron Wake and Matt Roth have each forced 3 fumbles.

8 players have scored defensive TDs through 4 Weeks. J Allen (CB HOU), M Trufant (CB SEA) T Williams (S GB) A Hawk (LB GB) V Butler (LB DAL) D Bishop (LB ARI) B Sanders (S Den) and D Whitner (S BUF)

Leon Washington and Devin Hester have each scored on kick returns, Jacoby Jones and Blair White have each scored on punt returns.

Week 5 (1-3 @ 1-3 Vikings)

Even the bad teams blow us out. Maybe we should've got Kolb.

Cardinals 16
Vikings 33

Derek Anderson got hurt after 5 pass attempts, he was filling in for the injured Terrelle Pryor so now J Skelton is playing again.

Skelton had his best game of the year throwing for 226 yards and a 1-1 stat line on 34 attempts.

Beanie Wells continues to do nothing. L Stephens-Howling gets the nod next week as he does well on a small amount of touches, he'll be part of a RBBC but get a bigger role.

Fitzgerald caught his 2nd TD of the year. Breaston had 87 yards on 5 catches.

MLB D Washington got some playing time and made 2 TFLs and a FF. Clark Haggans had the teams only sack.

L S Howling had a 60 yard kick return and a 49 yard punt return. I hesitate to use him too much at RB and risk losing him on returns.
