Week 6 - Bye Week

We can't lose this week!

Week 7  Notes:

D Dixon will back up D Anderson at QB. Anderson played.... mehly, enough to get another shot.

L Stephens-Howling will get more touches at RB and WR. R Williams will take over 3rd down back role.

O Schofield is named starter with J Porter headed to the IR.

Week 7 (1-4 vs 4-2 Steelers)

Steelers 27
Cardinals 17

Good lord Derek Anderson is scared to throw deep. 50% on 20 passes for 96 yards. 1 TD and 0 INTs. He had to sit a series out, D Dixon went 1/6 in his absence. Ahhhhhh!

Beanie Wells went for 99 yards on 15 carries with most of the yards coming on a 64 yard TD run.

LSH went for 9 yards on 3 carries.

Quiet recieving day, based on Anderson's performance. F Davis scored the only TD on an 8 yard catch.

Not a single TFL all game, but D Bishop had 18 tackles and 2 passes defended.

P Peterson got his first career sack, Schofield got a sack as well. SS B McGowan managed to wrangle a pass attempt in for an INT.

P Peterson returned a kick 69 yards and S Breaston took one back 50. STs continues to be a strength for us.

Week 8 (1-5 at 4-2 Ravens)

Ravens 21
Cardinals 16

Our losses aren't as bad as they used to be!

Anderson completed 61% of his 31 passes for 218 yards and a score. Dixon saw some action and completed 7/11 for 65 yards.

LSH carried 15 times for 43 yards. Beanie wells carried 9 times for 12 yards.

Fitzgerald had a huge game, 11 catches for 143 yards and a touchdown.

No sacks or TFLs for the defense but they did force two turnovers off an interception and a fumble.

LSH returned one punt for 33 yards.

Week 9 Notes

Adjusted coaching scheme. We're going to be more aggressive on offense and pass a bit more. We'll see how Anderson holds up.

Week 9 (1-6 vs 1-6 Rams)

Rams 31
Cardinals 21

Damn it.

Anderson won't throw downfield. Beanie Wells is garbage.

Fitzgerald went off again, 6 catches for 107 yards.

F Davis and S Breaston both had scores as well

3 TFLs total for D Washington, S Acho and D Bishop.

Washinton also had a sack, as well as Schofield. Clark Haggans had one and a half, but nobody else was credited with the other half.

LSH had a 48 yard kickoff return.

We're 1-7 and things couldn't be going much worse, except they can, and O'Brien Schofield is out for the season with a groin tear.

I'll be making LSH our main slot receiver as well as our 3rd down RB, he's our only playmaker. I'm going to bring in someone fresh.

D Dixon will be our starter at QB for the rest of the year, I like him as a long term backup.

Signing:

HB Clinton Portis. He'll be our starter unless he completely falls apart.

The Cardinals have fired Ken Whisenhunt and his entire staff.

1st-year head coach Jack Looman will take over as HC. Looman is an offensive line guru, he'll bring +3 Pass Blocking Footwork and +3 Pass Blocking Strength to the offense.

Isaac Cummings will fill the role of Offensive Coordinator. As a QB whisperer, Cummings will provide a +3 boost to Deep Accuracy and +3 to Play Action Passing.

The Cardinals also hire Gunther Cunningham, a defensive line specialist, to take over as Defensive Coordinator. Cunningham will bring +3 Play Recognition and +3 Tackling to the defense.

Dan Schultz has been hired as the Special Teams Coordinator, he'll bring a +3 Kick Return to a group of already dangerous returners.

The Cardinals have hired a private training agency, Zone Busters, to help teach better zone coverage skills to our cornerbacks. They'll bring a +1 Zone Coverage for CBs

Franchise Scouts will be the main scouting agency used by the Cardinals next season.

Staff

HC: Jack Looman (+3 PBF, +3 PBS)
OC: Isaac Cummings (+3 TAD, +3 PAC)
DC: Gunther Cunningham (+3 PRC, +3 TAK)
ST: Dan Schultz (+3 KR)
Personal Trainers: Zone Busters (+1 CB ZCV)
Scouting Agency: Franchise Scouts (highest ranked scouting agency in the nation)

The Cardinals have made some improvements to their stadium atmosphere.

The Be-A-Player Zone allows fans to compete with each other in a Throw, Catch and Kick competition.

New Escalators will carry fans to the upper level seating areas. No more concrete switchbacks!

Cardinals re-sign:

LB Moise Fokou - 4 yr / 11m

OLB Frank Zombo - 2 yr/ 2m

OT Brandon Keith - 3 yr / 4.71m

Franchise Tag: K Jay Feely

I couldn't get LSH to re-sign. That's a bummer. Hoping to get him after he's tested the market, but he wanted like $5m per for 5 years as a return specialist, can't do that.

Reading this just pissed me off all over again.  I have no idea how Madden '20 doesn't have staff movement at least fleshed out to that point today.  Ridiculous.  Nice Franchise.  I'm enjoying following.
