Week 13 GDT Raiders(6-5) Chiefs(7-4)

After the ***-kicking the Raiders got on Sunday by the Jets it does take away a lot of the excitment for this game. Even tho if the Raiders win they would win the tiebreaker at this point and have the lead in the AFC West, so still a lot to play for.

Everyone knows the house of horrors Arrowhead Stadium is for the Raiders and Derek Carr. January 2nd 2000 Gruden took a Raiders team into KC and at this time the Chiefs had beaten the Raiders in KC 11 straight times and Gruden went into KC and beat KC in OT. This game Gruden calls one of his biggest wins as a Raiders coach.

Raiders offense has been awful the past couple weeks. Offensive line has been awful. Not a lot of things that will give you hope going into the game and throw in Andy Reid record after the bye week 17-3 and 10-1 with home games and 2-0 against the Raiders. Everything going aginst the Raiders back against the wall. Last time this season we saw the Raiders get smacked around was in Minny and they responded against the Colts. I cannot wait to see how this team responds. Will they show some back bone and put up a fight or will they roll over and die and accept what history says will happen.

Gruden needs to watch the Colts/KC game and use that as a blueprint. Jacobs needs about 30 plus rushes. If the Raiders have an even amount of passing attempts then rushing attempts that is a bad sign and honestly that is how the Raiders lose. Teams who face KC get caught up in trying to go toe to toe with KC in the passing game. Look at the games they have lost its when teams stuck to the run. Offensive line needs to play like they did against the Bears time to put some defenders on their ***. Run the damn ball and take your chances downfield off play-action. This is a game where Waller should be your main target in the passing game.

On defense, you have to play DJ and Harris back. Its what the Chargers did and forced KC to drive the length of the field. Raiders will give up the yards from the 20 to 20 but when it gets in the 20-yard line they need to tighten up and force a couple of FGs. Cannot give up the 30-60 yards bombs that the Chiefs offense lives off of.

A path is there for the Raiders to have success, but executing it in a cold game is a whole nother issue.

Raiders and Derek Carr have a chance to exercise a lot of demons on Sunday.

Chiefs are favored by 10 here. Personally I think we lost a lot of momentum last week, Chiefs are getting better, it’s in Kansas City, Carr is terrible against the Chiefs (like beyond terrible), and Mahomes should destroy our secondary like Darnold did.

Chiefs over Raiders 31-16.

Angry Carr will show up this week. That guy we saw week 1 after the AB nonsense. Ready to prove doubters wrong.

That Denver game was surgical. If he plays like that, we have a chance against anybody.

Other keys:

Dion Jordan needs to show up.

No big plays over the top.

Double Hill and try to body Kelce. Possibly with Isaiah Johnson?

OL needs to get their **** together. Embarrassing last 2 weeks.

Zay has been efficient with his targets, but he needs to feature in this game with the attention on Williams and Waller.

Need to slow down the game and take it possession by possession. Slow and steady like the Titans.

Think this is another blowout loss. Just can't envision our defense showing any resistance whatsoever against the most talented offensive team in the league thats coming off a bye.

Carr and Jacobs will need to be damn near perfect, going on long drives and taking a majority of the time off the clock. Oline has to play nasty like they did in the Chicago game. Gruden has to coach daringly and not settle for FGs if its close.

The only way I see us winning this is if we force and recover a fumble or two. And Jacobs gets over 25 touches minimum. Keep their offense off the field and as someone else mentioned... Limit the big plays and limit the game to as few possessions as possible for that Chiefs offense.

I feel pretty good about the game. As Palooka mentioned before I think we see a very focused Derek Carr like we did week 1.

Josh Jacobs needs to have 30 carries. He should abuse this defense. Offense will need to have multiple 6-8 minute TD drives.

Play keep away from this Chiefs offense and play Harris and DJ deep. No single high safety this game. Force KC to drive 70 plus yards if they want a TD.

Trent Brown expected to play today and just checked the weather and we shouldn’t see any rain or snow. Gonna be cold but no snow or rain.
